WW/RW Showdown - N-914 vs Feynlab Pure Rinseless

I’ve use a brand of any clay called Marlow I use the 6 inch “king grade” clay pad and use it with the Velcro hand strap. Just as good as any other syn clay product. It costs about $9

Interesting opinion to me, if only because I utterly despise it as a clay lube. Liked it fine as a QD/Drying Aid on waxes (not sealants), but not one bit as a lube.

Eh, you know what they say about opinions!

Yeah i had tried a few other (mothers QD, N-914, Nanoskin stuff). Felt this was most slick feeling

Getting back on the Feynlab PR, I used it today for the first time. I`ve use a lot of different rinseless products before, and this is just different then all of them. Both my cars are coated and get washed every couple weeks lately. It`s been raining a lot here, and my truck lives outside under falling leaves. I pressure washed both cars before washing to get any big stuff off the body before I washed. Like everyone mentioned, PR cleans really. I was really happy with how clean the paint looked and felt after. I had the product mixed at a little less than 1:250.
What got me to post here was the wash bucket during the wash. I normally use 5-6 towels in my wash bucket to always have a clean towel. My towels are washed in 3D towel wash after use. After grabbing the third towel, the wash water in my bucket was dirty. I knew that the bucket was clean before I filled it. The only thing I can think of was PR also deep cleaned my wash towels. Anyone else have the same experience?
Does Feynlab PR deep clean everything? I took all my dirty wash media when I was done along with all the of my other rinseless wash towels and drying towels and tossed them into a plastic tote and mixed up 5 gallons of PR at 1:250 and let in all soak. After an hour I squeezed out the microfiber to go into the washing machine. The water left behind was a dark brown, almost muddy. Half of the microfibers I soaked were clean before they got soaked. After washing and drying, everything feels nice and light again.
I feel that as a rinseless, you can dilute past the 1:250 recommendation. 1:300 may be okay. I may use 1:250 in a sprayer to pretreat at the coin wash over the winter. I also may not need to use a dedicated microfiber wash soap with my rinseless wash towels. With how thick PR is, and how well it cleans, I`m just going to toss everything into the washing machine after I`m done with the wash.

^^Interesting observation. Is it possible that PR is stripping the color out of the towels?

What detergent do you wash the MFs with?

I kinda notice that too. Water was dingy. Wonder if acuRAS82 is right about color. Will i got some new pluffles for waterless wash. Maybe after a few times and their a little more dingy, i’ll test it.

Good call. I have some new, once washed all-purpose towels. They haven’t gotten dirty, just one wash out of the bag. I’ll try one sitting in 1:250 PR.

I`m interested in your results. My rinseless towels are a couple of years old, but I only use them in the winter. If PR is really THAT good at cleaning, I`ll get a 5L and soak and wash all my towels. I`m starting to think that gloves are a necessary item when using it.

Just as an FYI, I’m starting with one little AP light blue towel (the kind Mike P. always uses in forest green color) in 2gal. If I don’t see anything by late night, I’ll add another of the same towel since they are so thin.

If I don’t see anything by the morning, I’ll add in a brand new, once washed B&S WW towel (these are thick, light blue on one side, grey on the other).

I get the color of the water taking on the color of the towel. The towels I use are green. I`m not sure how brown would come out of that. Maybe I`m over thinking this.

Update?

No color transfer yet from the light blue all purpose MF. This after 2+ days.

I just added the waterless wash towel to see if it loses any color.

Reason i ask is last time i did one the water was dingy so i tossed it. Wasnt brown but wasnt clear

Just checked the RW water now. It looks clean or maaaaybe just a very slight cloudy but I truly think that’s in my head. I believe there is reflection from my off white dryer that makes it look this way and I think it looked like this before putting the towel in. The clear container I put the water in was cleaned with Dawn prior to dumping the RW in. And the towels being used have never been dirty.

I see no signs of color transfer even from the thicker WW towel.

So I’m guessing that Pure Rinseless is essential cleaning dirt out of the regular use WW towels that you guys are using.

Huh. I guess that Towel Kleen that I use isn`t so good. Thanks for testing this out. Looks like I`ll be soaking a lot more towels and switching towel cleaner.

I still use my Towel Kleen as a pre-soak for dirty towels. I have not tried putting a used, clean WW towel in the solution to see if I get embedded dirt causing brown cloudiness. I can try that tomorrow to let you know how my cleaner, or my cleaning process, works out.

My thinking was dirt on my nitrile gloves gloves got into bucket. Next rinseless i’ll do a Pure wash but let towels sit for a few hours
