Finish Kare mystery solved

I just cleaned my wife's car and used 1000P and 425....I mean my *rare* 1000P and 425. I really hope they do open up soon and everything is ok.

That makes two of us, and I'm not saying this just because I'm almost out of 146 and running very low on 425.

Last night, I tried ordering some from England. No luck.

The more I read this thread, the more nervous I get. lol :nervous2:

Several of us will panic buy the first day they open. It may encourage me to "stock up" although I'm not sure how long the products are good for.

I could not take it anymore - I ordered the chemical guys detailers recommended by others. I do plan on ordering FK425 when available.....

Tried emailing Finish Kare UK to see if they had any insight and this was the response I received.

Hi,

FK1 are nothing to do with us I'm afraid. We deal direct with the factory, not the retail side. While I'm sure it's frustrating theres not alot I can explain.

Try contacting the factory at Finishkare Inc.

Kind regards.

Alex.

Sent a message via the provided link, but no word as of yet. Ended up picking up some Surf City Hot Rod to get me by until (IF) they come back online .

It's a very odd business practice to NOT tell people that you're going to be on "summer holiday for xx weeks and will return on July xx. In the meantime, we won't be accepting orders for products. See you in two weeks! Thanks for visiting".

Isn't this common sense

Well maybe they notified the bigger buyers (ie: don't they supply a few automakers?)with a letter of some sort.

Maybe the website isn't a major source of their income.

Could be, I have no idea. However, the word of mouth promotion they receive through consumers (like us) is priceless and helps their business grow/expand.

If they truly are a key supplier to auto mfrs and dealers, I can certainly see how it could have had a severe impact on them over these past few months. Just look at Lear and the others...

This could be true.

However, if they supply the major autos as their main bread and butter, I bet their business has taken a beating. Meaning the autos aren't ordering on the scale that they use to do, or they have found other avenue's that are much cheaper. I have no evidence of either this is just speculation on my part.

I just can't see any business like Zaino, Chemical guys, Autogeek, or any other in "demand business" just taking off without at least saying something on their website, or letting someone know who could relay the message.

Even if they could care less about business from people like us, it's still bad business practice. imo

Also, add in their customer service at least in my case.. No return e-mails asking about their products, and can't get through on the phone.. It's almost like I was begging/bothering them to buy something from them, all the while it left me with the feeling, they could give a crap about my business.

Just ordered my FK 425 direct (great price as well), it will be shipped on Monday (July 13th).

Call Leda at 626-443-8983.

She's expecting your calls and hopefully she won't become too inundated and we can go this route until the distributor is back online ;).

Good luck.

Here's the email I received:

Dear Mr. XXX,

I do not know what is going on with FK1usa. We have been trying to get a hold of them and so far no one has get back to us with an answer.

At this point if you need any product, please feel free to call and get products from us directly.

Once FK1usa is back in business you might go back and purchase product from them.

With best regards,

Leda Young

Significantly less than the website for the 31oz bottle. Something tells me this avenue for ordering won't be open too long, but you never know.

Yep I said significantly less :woot:.
