Finish Kare mystery solved

This could be true.

However, if they supply the major autos as their main bread and butter, I bet their business has taken a beating. Meaning the autos aren't ordering on the scale that they use to do, or they have found other avenue's that are much cheaper. I have no evidence of either this is just speculation on my part.

I just can't see any business like Zaino, Chemical guys, Autogeek, or any other in "demand business" just taking off without at least saying something on their website, or letting someone know who could relay the message.

Even if they could care less about business from people like us, it's still bad business practice. imo

Also, add in their customer service at least in my case.. No return e-mails asking about their products, and can't get through on the phone.. It's almost like I was begging/bothering them to buy something from them, all the while it left me with the feeling, they could give a crap about my business.

I'd like to mention here that reference to this type of stuff (previous orders, cust. service etc.) is based on dealings with "FK1," not "Finish Kare" themselves.

These dealings are with a vendor, not the mfgr. FinishKare did not go on vacation, Torey etc. did. That would be like blaming Meguiar's, Mothers, Turtle Wax etc. as a whole because the rep in your area (or in this case, pretty much sole internet presence) took off/didn't return your calls.

Just wanting to point this difference out. Thanks.

Are there special telephone-only promos going on ??

Tell us more :)

I've been trying to chase down Finish Kare since it just made no sense to me that a distributor should be down for a month during the summer. I emailed some of FK's European distributors, Finish Kare UK, etc. Finally received an email back from Leda at FK. She said that they can not get a hold of their US distributor (FK1usa) either so just give her a call and she can ship my order.

I am guessing she quoted me the wholesale price. I am also thinking this avenue for ordering may not be open for very long as I don't think Leda at FK is set up for a large number of orders. That's it.

Thanks for the clarification. :2thumbs:

If I order FK products I'll try and order from the Mfgr, instead of the vendor.

Thanks again. I guess, I always figured this site was Finish Kare.

Guys, it's crazy not to take advantage of this opportunity. I just ordered some items and the price is quite a bit lower than what's seen on the website we're accustomed to order thru

I don't think Leda is able to do $5 flat rate shipping, though.

Leda is standing by, awaiting your phone call :)

The phone is obviously ringing off the hook. I had to try a few times to get through and now I'm on hold. Seems to be a lot more people watching this thread than are posting to it.

How much is shipping compared to the website?

She couldn't quote a shipping price since FedEx won't be back until Monday (July 13). I told her to ship it at the lowest cost since I'm in no hurry.

Guys, just to reiterate, there are no issues with the product manufacturer (aka Finish Kare). The problem is with the current distributor (aka FinishKare1).

Leda didn’t seem to be aware that there was an issue with people not being able to order Finish Kare products through the Fk1 website. She said they’ll accommodate when there’s a problem.

That's a bit of an unknown, it's not flat rate. I guess each order will be priced accordingly when it's packaged - - that's what she told me. However, I believe the discounts are so deep that it will easily offset the $5 flat rate shipping available through present distributor ;)

I just spoke with Leda.

She stated - in a friendly manner - that she is getting hammered at the moment with autopians. She requested that instead of calling we rather send her an email to "sales at finishkare dot com" with your name, mailing address, phone number, and product/quantity of your order. She will then call you back with an invoice and a total and get your CC info.

Hope that helps both her and us.

If Leda's message, website, and email are any indications, perhaps they will be offering products through a website soon.

Good thing I have 3 gallons of 425 and PLENTY 1000P and PinkWax

Guys, I want to post the pricing for the items I bought, but don't feel I should (someone sent me a PM asking me to do so). I think it's best if you check in with Leda...I don't want to post the numbers and get anyone in trouble.

Hint: ask for gallon pricing...it'll blow yer mind :)

The price she quoted me for a gallon of #425 was less than my last gallon of Meguiars #34 Final Inspection.

That was of course before autopia "ruined" me.:buffing:
