Finish Kare mystery solved

so we are REALLY small fish here.

I suspect that's the case. It's really good of them to take care of us. Most places would say they're unable to accomodate.

Yikes, they're doing shipping at give-away pricing, too. I suspect these deals won't be repeated any time soon.

Have a good weekend, and my thanks to those who made this impromptu group buy possible !!

Hmmph...like most of you, I didn't realize that FK1USA wasn't really Finish Kare. No wonder they always seemed to have double-talk explanations about the products when you talked to them on the phone (which I haven't for years).

Few of us knew. Bence must be among the elite.

I guess that guy I chatted with on numerous occasions (extended conversations) was at the distributor, not Finish Kare.

Kind of sucks that FK1 is practically the only distributor for the whole US. Well atleast in terms of online distribution.

I must say that its awful generous of FK to be doing this for us. Most manufacturers won't deal with individual sales unless your doing some huge pallet buy. What's even more generous is they seem to be offering it at a discounted rated.

Maybe FK will open their own website

IME, ZCS, OS, UPGP, dont seem to add much gloss to the finish, do not offer alot of protection, not much slickness after a wash and I was re-applying too often.

Quick tip on 1000P applicator loading. Put a nitrile glove on and rub a finger over the top of the wax rapidly, it will become soft. Scoop up a bit and spread over the surface of a foam app. Rub the 1000P evenly over the applicator with the palm of your gloved hand, apply more if needed. I dont dip the app in the tin, otherwise, there is too much on the pad. The app should not get saturated with product, if it does, I carefully wipe it with a MF.

That sounds like a great application method. Getting it out of the dang tin and on to the applicator is the hardest part of the whole process.

Leda was great to talk with. I imagine she had a pretty busy day. I believe she told me she was trying to leave before we slammed her. LOL

I guess I was always under the impression that FK1usa was Finish Kare.. Until today. I went ahead and bought quite a bit of stuff.

Hopefully they will get a new distributor. Just my opinion. Until then I just order from them directly.

Thanks again GoCubsGo.

Yes, luckily I knew it, but I was very surprised. The info came from the Singapore distributor.

And just to add a bit of info; don't be surprised when the new stuff won't look like the usual bottles, as FK1 rebottles them and adds its own FK1 labels.

Examples of the originals:

FK #1 NCG

FK 185 (FK1 lingo: 217)

Uhh-Oh. What if the #425 I ordered isn't really #425... What if the #215 isn't #215 .... :nervous:

Don't worry Tom, both have the same product designation @ both places.

Why FK1 did/does that is really beyond me.

Is the hi temp 1000p in the same silver container? Or does it look different as well. The 1000p looks different over seas for some reason.

NP, I'm more than happy to help. I've got a lot from this board so I am happy to be able to contribute and give a little back (and thanks to Leda what better place to give back than the bottom line :xyxthumbs).

Aubrey, the silver tin is the new one, and the Great White Shark version was the original. FK1 has put a black label on the original container more recently.

FK 425 is a *really* good QD, and FK High Temp 1000P Synthetic Paste Wax is one of (if not "the")very best LSP's out there. Yeah, I'll probably get a huge amount of flak for that one, but I'm sticking to my guns. It is a fantastic product.

I could be wrong, but didn't you say you liked 1000p as well "if not better" than your Vintage several months back? That's saying something about 1000p if so.
