Zaino Missing Big Boat

I believe Scottwax has stated in other threads that he really likes Zaino.I believe the reasons for him not using it isn't because of the end result but the process involved to get there. Detailing cars is hard work, so when you are doing 5-10 or more cars per week, do you really want to wait for Zaino to cure at the end of every job? You could be there for an hour, depending on the weather. I like Zaino, I use Zaino exclusively, but for the guy who does it to make money and does high volume, he wants to get in, get the job done and get out. So from that view, if I were detailing cars to make money and doing alot of volume, Im not sure If I would use Zaino either.

Please, let's not get into why Scott doesn't use Zaino. It has been discussed many times and it is like beating a dead horse at this point.

Sorry but I have to disagree about zaino taking an hour to cure. I have applied Z2/5 thick and thin, in the hot/cold and in very humid conditions. Never had to wait an hour for it to cure. :2thumbs:

What were the weather conditions when you had to wait that long for zaino to cure?

The zealots are the main reason I(and others I'm sure) are still hesitant to try out Zaino, no matter how great it may be.

I'm the same way, although I have used Zaino a few years back prior to any of the "PRO" versions.

Z-16 is the only Z product that, at this point in time, I'd like to try.

"Let Z5 or Z2 polish dry atleast one hour. Zaino works best at 60 degrees or higher. However, it can be applied down to temperatures of 45 degrees, It will just take much, much longer to dry, as much as two to three hours drying time is required if the temperature is 50 degrees or below or if the humidity is high." Thats quotes from Zaino flyer that comes with the polish and I find it to be pretty true in my tests, especially if you do the smudge test with your finger.

Who cares? Are you so insecure that you can't handle some internet guy not liking the same car care product that you do? If you were Sal Zaino I could see you possibly having a care, but as was said in another thread, Sal is able to sell all the product he can make whether Scottwax likes it or not.

[quote name='mgm121499']I agree 100%. Great point.

Isn't that wonderful? I love resolution!

Back to detailing discussion and let's STOP the "personalization" of such products. :grrr

Scott, I really believe you will love the ZAIO and CS. I tested some ZAIO this weekend and it is truly a great ALL-IN-ONE. Great cleaning ability, wipe-on and wipe-off with extreme ease, zero staining of moldings, great appearance and very economical in terms of amount used to perform a task.

ZAIO will likely come in a 16oz bottle for those professional volume usages also.

Interesting, when working by myself I usually appy either Z2/5 to the entire car. By the time I am done applying the first panel is ready for removal. 20 mins on a vette or maybe 30 on the wifes 7 series. When pressed (which is not often) I can do 3x of Z2/5p on a vette in 75 mins.

Usually I find myself applying a coat to the paint then doing interior glass or applying some Z16 to the tires.

Based on the reviews, I expect I will. I like the ready to use out of the bottle aspect.

I am I right in assuming that CS will work just fine over Werkstatt's Prime?

You're also posing as someone that has actually purchased and used Zaino several times. IMO it's a little misleading for those that don't know, and overstated for those that do.

That is exactly what I mean about misrepresting what I say. I have made it clear in several threads I got my samples from ZaneO and I don't believe I lead anyone to think I have been a particularly regular user in the past. I think you will see I have mentioned the two main vehicles I have used it on and my impressions. I seem to recall saying it looked great on the M Roadster and lasted 8+ months on my brother's van.

Are you somehow concerned that my not preferring Zaino over any other brand will somehow effect Zaino's bottom line? And if so, why? I don't get it. You have stated you prefer Zaino over Werkstatt. Fine by me. What each person looks for in their favorite products isn't always the same. But I have never gone into a thread where you have said you only got 4 months out of Acrylic Jett and made any comment about that, or taken it out of context and insinuated you were bashing the product. You get 4 months, you get 4 months, I don't question your results or your preferrence of Zaino over Werkstatt. You like Zaino better and I respect that.

CS shouldn't have any issues going over Prime-some are even testing it over carnaubas.

Scott, I'm not concerned that you don't prefer Zaino over brand 'x'.

I won't try to explain my position again, but I do apologize for offending you. That wasn't the intention, and I hope that you will accept my apology.

I'm not offended, I just want to make sure you understand where I am coming from. No need to apologize. Okay? :wavey

Does anyone know a heat rating on CS?

My reason for asking is the heat on this chrome and will it maintain:

DSCN0115.jpg

I've tested Z-CS and Z-AIO on wheels, and in engine bays (i.e. -on parts/areas that are exposed to some heat) but not on bike chrome. Based on my uses, I think you'll be good to go, but you might want to call Sal to be sure.

btw -STUNNING picture!

Thank You

It seem like Zane had told me at one point that Z2 was something above 600 degrees ?

I was wondering if CS will be the same.

Beautiful (partial) picture of your bike.

I have no idea if CS will withstand the hi-temperature of your bike exhaust but by looking at the way you maintain your bike, CS maybe a waste. I am sure you are always polishing that beauty!!!:goodjob

I thought about coating my stainless Corsa exhaust but because of the reason stated above I passed.

Scott, CS will work great over Prime.I did my CS over carnauba test last week and I like the results very much. No ill-effects and appears quite compatible. Will it extend the life of the carnuaba? :nixweiss. That's for someone else to test. I can not keep my hands off my vehicles that long.:2thumbs:
