good idea- post about how similar or disimilar they look. I'd be interested in hearing your unbiased, objective opinon being a Zaino expert :xyxthumbs

I'll be sure to do that.

BTW, I'm not just a Zaino expert...I'm pretty much an expert about anything detailing related.

Do me a favor and find how many threads I've started about Zaino...

Now go find the threads I've started for other products...

I take it you stayed in a Holiday Inn?

I'll be sure to do that. BTW, you going to be back in the Dallas area any time soon?

Don't have any plans made at the moment, but I'm sure we're bound to get that way in the next couple/few months. I still haven't seen a Mavs game.

Not even close.

Oh and BTW one member claims that Duragloss PBA is compatible with Zaino-sounds pretty similar to me

I tried that PBA per your recommendation and it seems to be working well! Of course, I won't be able to determine its impact on sealant durability because I can never go long enough before I want to apply a fresh coat or a new product. Even though it seems similar to AIO in my opinion, it will be a nice peace of mind product to have around when I want the most durability :)

I was thinking about trying a durability test on my brother's car or something. Half the car with just AIO + sealant, and the other half with PBA + sealant.

Sometimes it's not what we say, it's how we say it. Please keep this in mind for successful "heated or critical debates".

Don't worry, no offense taken by any of the posts. I understand that my opinion about Zaino is probably not the norm on here, so I am prepared for a little flaming and some criticism regarding my comments. I like this site because most people can engage in a good debate with valid points. But I also keep in mind that most detailing products all come down to opinion. What works great for me may not be the best for someone else and vice versa. People should just realize that Zaino didn't work for me and that is my opinion/experience, not anyone elses'!

I am a firm believer in finding a product you like and using it regularly whether it's Zaino, Turtle Wax, UPP, etc. Preserving my vehicle's finish is my number 1 goal! After that it's all about finding the right product that suits my eyes. It's like appreciating a nicely aged red wine. But then again, some people do not like wine! That's my point.

Well stated Bryan. :bow

Sometimes it is hard to express oneself, especially in a "tongue-in-cheek" manner over the internet.

I knew you could take my post without jumping thru the screen and ringing my neck. :D

Any new leather products?

certainly a dodge (and we ain't talking about a car). Being from Texas you do a pretty good sidestep :chuckle:

FWIW, I emailed Duragloss out of curiousity, and they replied that their products are made in Burlington, NC.

Again, you have no idea what you're talking about...you're just grasping. It's cool though - it gives others a good laugh :lol

Sure I talk about Zaino - *when others bring it up.* Isn't sharing knowledge and experience what this board is about? I don't go around starting Zaino threads to promote the product.

In other words, you've never tried Zaino, right? You sure have a pretty firm opinion of a product you've never tried. Seems like we've had a discussion about that in the past, haven't we?

This thread has stayed (relatively) well-mannered so far. Let's all keep it that way, 'k?

Yeah, but he's tried Duragloss, close enough.

I often make that same rational leap when comparing two products that have similar functions. They must be the same. No?

Also guys, don't let Zaneo confuse you about his true relationship with Zaino. I mean, look at their names - too creepy for me man. They're like the same. Don't tell me this is a coincidence either.

Zaneo = Zaino? Don't let this homonym fool you. Inquiring minds want to know. The gig is up.

:rofl :spit:

I guess that is the difference between what you and I consider the 'perfect' finish. You want your cars to look fresh out of the paint booth and with a very durable finish that requires little maintenance. I try to alter the look of the paint to make it deeper, darker and richer, which to me looks better. Sure, I have to play around a bit, tweaking the glazes I use, trying different waxes, etc and have to wax more often. What is important is for each of is willing to take the steps required to achieve our goals and invest the time and money as we see appropriate.

Look at it like performance mods. Some people like to keep their cars completely stock, satisfied with the factory performance and reliability. Others like to extract the very last bit of performance possible, usually at the expense of some reliability. There is no real right or wrong, just what you prefer.

Excellent points Scott. :xyxthumbs

I had to chime back in on this one. As for ZaneO.............If ya take a peek at his signature you'll find that his name is Zane Oliver. Thus, the "ZaneO" screen name. I have tremendous respect for Zane's detailing talents & opinions even though I've never met the dude. His work speaks for itself.
