Underrated products.

I have been using

Detailer's Pride spray surface shield and Chemical Guys Blitz on my silver car, and both make a noticeable difference in gloss and reflectiveness (i have a lot of products, and these two are my favs.)

another overlooked product is the nxt SPRAY wax. I like its reflectiveness, gloss and durability.

oh... and as far as qd's go...Prima slick is awesome @ cleaning glass.

To clean my glass, I also use chem guys ez creme glaze or turtle wax chrome polish...no streaks, and just strong enough for bug guts and rain spots.

Where do you buy your BioKleen Scott?

From Autopia member Grouse. He orders is by the case and I bought a gallon from him. Even my son, who helped me out for a year or so until he went back to college commented on how well it worked.

Definitely Poorboys EX w/carnauba. I don't know how I'd survive without it in the summer, same with the Optimum Polishes.

P21S Polishing soap and car wash. Amazing Roll Off. Poorboys Bold and Bright (my fav tire dressing). Mothers Mag & Alum Polish. Most *zep* stuff, the APC and hi traffic cleaner. Hi temp prep wash and bumper renew.

We are open ears. What do you use it for?

If I have to do a conventional wash, it is absolutely indispensible in getting the spots from the wash off (even with very quick drying attempts, it still spots quite severly). Quick detailer can't touch these spots.

I don't think it completely kills whatever LSP I have on there, but I do usually feel obligated to refresh it.

Now that I use ONR, its not necessary for the exterior anymore. BUT - it is GREAT on the interior glass! You can say goodbye to streaks from your glass cleaner due to not cutting through vinyl offgassing haze completely.

Vinegar will and does cut through the haze very easily. If its on tint film, you can just use vinegar and a WW towel before using your favorite glass cleaner. If its just "regular" glass (like the inside of the windshield), try combining the vinegar with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It cuts *so* effortlessly through haze.

Then just follow up with your favorite glass cleaner :) . I usually use about 4 WWs for the inside - 1 for vinegar, 1 to wipe up after that, 1 for glass cleaner, 1 to wipe up after that.

I could probably cut it down to three... but eh, I have the towels, might as well use them :p

I will add one more...P21S Polishing Soap. Great on tailpipes.

Yeah, I LOVE this stuff. I posted a mini review of it back in the day and I don't think a single person posted anything.:grinno:

Turtle Wax ICE "Polish"

It's a sealant and its durability sucks but it gives a pretty good shine and it's the easiest thing I've ever applied to my car, short of AW. I use ICE now as a trim sealant now. IMO, as a trim sealant, it perfectly cuts the difference between sheen and shine.

It's over hyped by Turtle Wax but I feel it's over bashed by some Autopians. I have a lukewarm opinion of ICE which I feel is more deserved than some others' more frosty opinions.

I think thats because #80 tends to gum up a lot when used on a rotary. At least thats why it's not my go-to as ar as rotary goes (95% of the time I am using a rotary).

wow, i've never had #80 gum up on me,rotary or pc,

in fact, i've never even heard this ever being an issue with #80

#83? thats another story!

There are two OTC products that imo are hidden gems. Blue Magic leather conditioner and the vinyl/leather cleaner. Both work excellent and as good if not better then my boutique stuff. But the crazy part is, the cleaner was the only thing that worked well on my trim like the window seals. Everything I tried even AIO would not clean and restore them. On a whim I tried some on a terry cloth and was amazed, now my window seals looking 98% as new. This was over a month ago and still looks like new so I know nothing from the product left anything, turned the terry black from rubbing not even other trim specific cleaners worked like this product did.

I got them from Discount Auto Parts.

This gets talked about quite a bit but Folex works incredibly well for me. Takes out stains on carpet, leather, plastic, and is super gentle to use. Also the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser was a nice find as well. Takes off scuffs on interior plastic, old wax residue on trim, etc. Just be careful and use common sense with it. Both underrated products in my book.

I really like the $0.30 foam brushes at WalMart also. They help me dress my trim, clean around the lug nuts, and get into tight places to apply protectant to plastic. Good find as well- thanks to this site! :xyxthumbs
