interesting, you dont use the iw845 that much? I can understand 476s, its a PITA if you dont remove it a panel at the time.

I should give opti-seal another try, it seems to get good reviews.

I will say this, even removing a panel at the time, 476s is not as easy to remove as well....its uh hard to remove even a panel at the time! I like it though, its a good product for durability, but wolfgang gets the cake for me for easy to remove product....

476s reminds me a lot of Meguiar's 16...However, I think the Collinite has better durability. Like MEg's 16, you have to put it on thin, and wait until it passes the swipe test, and remove immediately. If it is hard to remove, you can mist with OCW, and wipe off.

It's not that any of these are bad products, just that I have others I like better. In my opinion 915 beats it in looks and durability.

David Fermani and Apollo Auto (aka Jesse) are two experienced AM guys.

HaHa - I use to be. :nomore:

Atleast for the polishes/LSPs.

If people learned how to correct paint, they wouldn't worry about LSPs so much.

Those freakin' Menz bottles... :D

I started to rate my LSPs but I soon realized that I was giving out 8.5s, 9s and 9.5s. So it was basically pointless to rate them 1 by 1.

Here is my list with the notable exceptions in bold.

Combined list of LSPs (coatings, sealants and waxes together, incl. AIOs):

Aqua Glass Coat Aquartz Coating – new, to be reviewed

Aqua Glass Coat Hydroshield – same

AutoGlym EGP

AutoGlym SRP

Bilt-Hamber Auto Balm - unique product, best filling of any LSPs in my experience, wonderful look, excellent corrosion protection 10/10

Carlack 68 LLS

Carlack 68 NSC…

Clearkote CMW

Collinite 845 – The benchmark in spreading. Goes on nicely with a rotary, by hand, with DA, and remarkably durable. 10/10

Collinite 885

Dodo Supernatural

Einszett Hartglanz

Einszett Sprüh Wax – Exceeding mediocrity on certain colors, yet it can look nice on other metallics. Easy aerosol formula can be applied with a rotary. Not enough experience with it to be rated, but a unique stuff indeed.

Finish Kare PW

Finish Kare 1000P – Simply one of the best LSPs in the industry. Very durable, extremely easy to work with. Can be indifferent on certain colors, but still 10/10

Finish Kare 185 (now 217)

Finish Kare 215

Finish Kare 216

Finish Kare 218

Finish Kare 2180 – This is the strangest product in my experience. It looks wonderful but needs a very special application and not tuned for impressive beading (just as BHAB). It gets a 7/10 and a 10/10 at the same time from me.

Gtechniq C1 Coating

Meguiar's #16 – A must in everyone’s collection. The godfather of modern heavy duty paste carnaubas. 10/10 just because its history and significance.

Meguiar's #26 paste

Meguiar's #21

Meguiar's NXT paste

Mothers CGPC liquid

Mothers FX liquid

Mothers FX spray

Mothers Reflections liquid

Mothers Reflections spray

Mothers Reflections TC

Optimum CW – Best looking spray product, with a nice balance between sealant/carnauba shine and gloss. Durability is not a factor because of the extreme ease of use, however better than expected. Slickness king. 10/10 (this is for OCW II, OCW I was 7.5/10)

Optimum OS – THE WOWA sealant. 10/10

Optimum PS – Impressive finishing polish/sealant/wax combo with a very unique, genial working method. 10/10

Optimum Coating – Extremely impressive, universal coating for multiple surfaces. 10/10

Porzelack O Wax

Riwax Wax Polish (sample size)

Riwax Titan Wax – Very hard to work with; extremely difficult removal characteristic even WOWO. Mediocre, foggy look. 6/10

Scholl Concepts W06 – Nothing to write home about. 6.5/10

Scholl Concepts W09 – Pre-softened paste with great smell. Difficult workability, subpar durability, no slickness, average definition. 6/10

Sonax Nano Lack Protect Coating – new, to be reviewed

Sonax Xtreme1 liquid

Sonax Xtreme1 paste

Swissvax Concorso

Turtle Wax Gloss Guard

Turtle Wax PUG liquid

Turtle Wax PUG paste

Ultima PGP

Victoria Collectors

Victoria Concours } – The best balance between price and performance in the hand applied carnauba niche. They are more durable than expected.

Victoria Cruising

Wepp Schutzwachs

Zaino Z2Pro

I believe it was as far back as early 2004 where I posted about my use of Victoria paste wax.....it may have been most peoples first introduction to the wax and a beautiful wax it is. I've never personally had any problems (that I can remember) with any of their waxes.

Now does that mean that everyone will have the same results? Nope.

I'm mainly an Optimum guy (and just about everyone knows that by now) so just about everything that goes out of our shop has Optimum OS, OCW, PS or Opti-Coat on it.....BUT I also love to top many of those with a fine paste beauty wax like Victoria's or Zymol.

It's not the lsp that gets me excited though but rather the steps it takes to get to that point.

Some very experienced and very respected people weighed in on this thread. It REALLY is a shame it got off track for a while. Seems the OP's intent was to gather information from other users and their LSPs of choice so he could gain a little knowledge about other products he may not have heard about?

I've always found Bence's posts and product reviews helpful and informative.

Bingo! I like this, along with Anthony's comments"It's not the lsp that gets me excited though but rather the steps it takes to get to that point".

I rarely notice much (if any) of a difference between most of the top LSPs or by applying multiple layers...the extra time is better spent polishing.

I also gave up on them some time ago. I've got a gallon of BC1 and BC2 collecting dust in one of my cabinets now... The polishes are way too gummy. Also, the waxes are crap. The Quick Wax is a very "volume" wax; poor durability, a bit dusty and gives a flat shine. The EZ wax is very durable, but a PITA to apply and remove. :nomore: Auto Magic for me either.

RMG, Auto Balm, FK Pink and Porzelack O Wax smells the worst IMO.

+1 for Porzelack O Wax being the stinkiest. That stuff will gag a maggot, but it's a good wax (especially for the price)!
