Paul Dalton's Products...

Hey, everyone knows this guy, and work he does. I know he uses a few zymol products (hd cleanse, clay, and of course Royale), but does anyone have a list? Which polishes? What 'citrus degreaser'? Etc etc...

He uses a lot of Menzerna and 3M products. I've seen the bottles in a lot of photos. We've seen him using Sonus clays before too....

Id focus less on what he is using and more on what works for you. Just because he uses product X, doens't mean you will always achieve the same results. Do what works for you!

His citrus degreaser is p21s total auto wash, his wheel cleaner is p21s gel wheel cleaner, his clay is sonus green, his polishes are the good menzernas (p106ff, p085rd), his last step before wax is HD-cleanse, and we all know his wax.

+1

Just because a professional uses it doesn't mean you will achieve the same results.

Stick to what works best for you.

I'm surprised to hear he is coming out with his own line as well. Wonder who his supplier would be...

That doesn't suprise me at all since his click and brags would only say that he is using a polish that he mixed up and would not say of what brands. I think that is why I like the pro's like Scottwax that will tell us of different combo's that work and doesn't try to be all secretive. Mike...:nixweiss

I know a lot of pros that keep it a secret...It doesnt bother me, it is their livlihood.

Are they all coming out with their own product line? I don't mind that a pro keeps their secrets, I just like it when they don't mind sharing. Mike...

good advice... :bigups

I dont know why so many people have a problem with this guy? Sure he has been posted here so many times, but I honestly believe that this guy is hated because of envy and jealousy.

Yeah I seem to remember reading he mixes a lot of the products he uses with other things in the post about the Vectra detail he did. You can search for the job he did on the Bugatti Veyron that was posted on this site to find more. I don't hate the guy, I think he's overpriced sure, but if someone wants to pay for it it's their $$$. In my opinion I'd rather have an autopia member working on my car. Of course I'm jealous of the cars he gets to work on and the pay he gets, but I think I'd be much more satisfied with the appreciation from owners for a job that's better than they expected and with an affordable price tag:)

While I agree that everyone should "do what works for you", it is also nice to be pointed in the right direction of products respected enough that the pros use, without having to spend a bunch of coin trying to figure that out by yourself. There are just too many products on the market for this to be a viable way to find out exactly what WILL work for you. I, for one, appreciate all the help I can get on finding products that pros get good results with. So far, everyone I've found has become "what works for me" :chuckle:
