:LOLOL @ what some people think of me

If no "best" exists then why do manufacturers and resellers always throw a "BEST OF CLASS"

"WORLD CLASS" "CHAMPION" "AWARD WINNING" "RATED #1" label on their products? Is it because they are playing us?

Would you buy a product if I wrote "worst product in the world!" on the label? Of course not.

How does one become rated "WORLD CLASS" "CHAMPION" "AWARD WINNING" "RATED #1" one might ask. Well there are many ways . . .

-pay to win the award

-make up the award yourself

-win an award where there is only a small pool of products considered

These are just some of the more unethical ways to do it. Of course, there are products that do win actual awards, but what are the judges looking at? Is it something I would care about? For instance, do you place much stock in the wax rated #1 by consumer reports?

Basically, my point is that these declarations are completely meaningless.

If you want to declare something best for YOU that's great. It doesn't mean it's the best for me though or anybody else.

NEVER happens on this forum...
Feel free to PM me the list of threads where it has; I'll be happy to take a look at them. Better yet, post them right here . . . I'll wait.

By the way, about your posting history . . . do you ever intend to engage in discussions about detailing, or did you just join up to snark about forum "politics"? If the latter, your contributions are not welcome. Your departure, however, would be.

All this guy does is defend the "other" forum and criticize this one when he posts. He has absolutely nothing positive to contribute. :down

Most likely he is a "former" member back here with a new IP and ID. It is ashame we cannot make sure members who deserve to be banned sometimes don't stay that way!

I try to log on and sign up but it seems to me they don't want me there . I can't believe this. I spent 20yrs in the service from Vietnam to the gulf war and then got recalled back after 911 and this what i get! And i still walk around with a tiny piece of metal in my body, so the military needs more troops then how bout sending some of them to those damn mountains in Afghanistan and ask Osama if his camel needs a detail. What shame is this so called war (wax) And how about them telling the wife's of my 2 friends that didn't come back alive. And all i wanted to do is do more reading and learning on detailing. What a Joke!...........:usa Msgt Ret. USAF Combat Controller.........

I applied there to to see what the hubub was all about... four days ago.

Still haven't heard boo from them. I guess they read this forum, and those who defend Scott are rejected....

You probably don't use the right product to be approved. :chuckle:

At least here you can disagree with others and as long as it stay civil, it is allowed.

I have to say I highly prefer autopia over autogeek because many autogeek members are seriously brainwashed into buying EVERYTHING from autogeek and using ALL the PBMA products. However, the way autogeek is to PBMA products, this forum sometimes is to zaino, however DC is far worse.

On a side note, sometimes I think PBMA is almost as ridiculous as DC, especially cobra microiber. Those things lint like CRAZY and my chemical guys microibers dont lint at all and cost less AND are softer and fluffier. But yet many autogeek members still continue to buy cobra MFs because they are oblivious to other, superior products since on autogeek you cant post links to competitors websites.

Well this is a bit over the top ZoomZoom. I know one of the owners and he is very pro-military. There was no singling out of servicemen.

Detailers Club requires a new user to validate their email by clinking on a link. This is standard stuff for vBulletin boards. Once you get that email you respond and a new account is set up.

So for those having trouble getting into Detailers Club, check your email and follow the links.

There are experienced detailers on both these boards. I see no value add in bashing a board that has been a good source of information. Every board has its own biases but the constant bickering on the boards is taking some of the fun out of the hobby for me.

Thanks for your service. Out of curiosity what would make you think that DC would know your combat history and discriminate against you? That doesn't seem like a logical reason that any detailing site would refuse membership over.

Been trying for months to sign up and never rec'd any email from them. I didn't put my service record in for that. It was out of contend. It would be better if everyone helps each other instead of bashing one or the other or something about products wars. All i want to do is learn and apply from all the folks out there and also the products that they all use. Learning is the best thing for all.........:usa

It's just silly to think DC is trying to discriminate against you for military service. It's really low class to accuse DC of that without any proof.

You must not be registering properly or there is some computer glitch.

I don't think he's saying he's being discriminated against because he's a vet...he's saying he's frustrated at being treated poorly after putting his life on the line, and pointing out we (well, most of us) don't know what "war" is.

That's just patentedly ridiculous to mention the military service at all then-the earlier comments clearly implied some discrimination. The war issue is not relevant at all to whether someone can log into the site. I just spoke to one of the owner's of the site and he said he cannot tell that anything was wrong with his registration.

I think ZoomZoom needs to try again and follow the validation links and instructions carefully.

Honestly, I don't get it. Why get so worked up over wax?

No kidding. I get slammed on other forums because I love Zymol so much. If you don't like it, why ask about it? Zymol is definitly my fave, but Autopia shows that there is more than 1 way to get great results. Use what works for you.

Keep up the great work Scott. I'm in Dallas right now, enjoying your great weather :-)
