:LOLOL @ what some people think of me

Do you honestly think that everyone is going to like you? If you do, your foolish in thinking so... If you don't, then why stir the pot?

I don't care who likes me, you completely miss the point. I think it is hilarious y'all get so worked up over WAX. I also think it is sad that people have to hide what they say on a board that only allows member viewing-and I know I am not welcome to register. Y'all have something you want to say, say it here or register at off topic where the rules of engagement are looser.

I guarantee if I said I was using Zaino you guys would be praising me up one side and down the other.

I think this is what Spoiledman is referring to:

Back to the "photography"part of this thread...I had no idea you were using a N60 Film camera.. If you are using the kit lens that came with it, thats part of the problem.

I am using the Tamron lenses that came with the camera, so I don't know what "lens kit" you are talking about.

There is a Sunny 16 Rule that helps on the bright days...

The basic exposure for an average scene taken on a bright, sunny day is f/16 at a shutter speed equivalent to one over the ISO setting—that is, f/16 at 1/100 sec at ISO 100. You should put the camera on the AV mode(aperture priority) and try f16 - f22. Thats should help with the blown highlights.

If I can figure out how to get the camera to work in full manual load, I'll try that. I keep getting an "E" (error) message when I put the camera in manual mode. Maybe the next day it rains or I get done early, I can head over to Arlington Camera and see if they can help me get the camera to work in manual mode.

I do appreciate the help. :)

Step right this way Scott. We have your "Zaino Tank" with the new CS armor ready and waiting....

LOL that is a good one. maybe the haters would calm down if Scott was seen in a tank with their fav brand on it. sad that some people are sooooo close minded to other options out there. what would happen if the wright brother did not attempt to fly , because everybody was close minded ? just something to chew on. I feel for you Scott, somebody over there blasted me , even though they do not know me. would like to see these people tell me their feelings in person. everybody is a tough guy behind the keyboard.

I know you shoot film. Meter on something neutral gray, I would suggest a tire, but the tire shine would throw it off. Get a gray card, put it next to the car, meter and then take the shot without the card.

Got any suggestions when shooting black cars in the full sun on concrete? I'm already underexposing shots 1-2 stops and it doesn't seem to help.

I can't get it into manual mode to do that. When I had my fully manual camera, I could do that. :hairpull

Stupid wax users. LOL! Everyone is a tough guy behind the key board.

I'm a member over @ DC, but I just go there for some product help and share my experiences using it, and same goes here on Autopia as I try to learn and help at the same time. Since joining both forums earlier this year, I've been the middle man, and I don't really care about the negative comments, or product wars. I just find it funny to get worked up about "wax". I only post about my experience with the products I use.

This is SO lame. As others have said this is car wax we're talkin' about here people! I can't believe people get so fired up when someone says they don't like the wax they're using. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

After all opinions are like a-holes . . . everyone has one and they all stink. :D

I got an e-mail from someone who is a member both here and at the Detailersclub that he cut and pasted from Detailersclub, aka the Zaino board:

Too funny! I use Optimum and Clearkote products far more than Ultima, yet somehow I am now the official Ultima product shill? Even better how this is done on a board you have to register to read, yet I know I am not welcome to register.

Oh yeah, you hear wrong. 7 mb/sec connection.

Sorry I don't think Zaino is the second coming, sad that some can't deal with an honest opinion.

Wow, that's just plain hilarious. It amazes me how insecure people get and also how tough they are on an anonymous forum. I'm sure your clients that live in some of those million dollar homes and have their $60,000.00+ vehicles detailed by you appreciate your camera skills, lol.

Its just wax , its unbelievable how you can get bashed for even suggesting some other product that the bandwagoners of certain brands don't use.

You should see the arguments on some forums regarding motor oil

Why would people argue over motor oil? Everyone knows Mobil 1 is the BEST and anyone who thinks otherwise is WRONG. :grinno:

Don't you just love these people who put up posts and throw around the word "best" liberally. "This is the best wax." "What is the best car wash soap?" "What is the best sealant for a red car?"

There's no such thing as an all around "best" product in any category. There are so many qualities each product would have to excel in. It's just impossible and gets more difficult when you mix a strong dose of personal opinion into the equation.

Amsoil uses higher grade additives than Mobil 1 and carries a 25k warranty per year:grinno:

If no "best" exists then why do manufacturers and resellers always throw a "BEST OF CLASS"

"WORLD CLASS" "CHAMPION" "AWARD WINNING" "RATED #1" label on their products? Is it because they are playing us?

Probably purely due to marketing.
