Beer Time

I enjoyed a bomber of Bear Republic Big Bear Black Stout tonight. Big chocolate taste and no real alcohol bite....surprised to see its around 8% ABV. A nice smooth brew!

I also enjoyed that brew, plus Red Rocket and Hop Rod Rye and Racer 5.

so, based on this thread, i tried the "old rasputin russian imperial stout" this evening. what a good brew!!! i also picked up a couple "stone IPAs".

i bought these two at the local "total wine" in virginia. the stone IPA was the only stone beer that i found there. maybe because of the alcohol content?

keep up the thread. lots of beers to try yet.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the "Old Rasputin", there is hope for ya, LOL

Today having a 750ml of Urthel Hop-It, a Belgian Strong Pale Ale, 9.5% ABV. Been holding on to this one for a long time, and been anticapating as well. Today was the day, no dissappointment at all, very hoppy and tasty, citrusy and a nice hoppy bite finish. Highly recommend if you can get your hands on some.

tonight is a Great Divide Denver Pale Ale.

Haven't had that one, but some of the Great Divide stuff is very good. Tonight was a couple of Bridgeport Blue Herons for me. It's a fairly light, smooth, pale ale... perfect after a long day of working in the yard.

Nothing too spectacular last night.

Had some friends over for dinner and did some samling...DFH 60 and 90 min IPA and some Victory Storm King. Picked up another 22 of Stone IPA Anniv and some Smoked Porter.

All excellent brews.

Dark Horse Crooked Tree IPA tonight. Super hoppy and a bunch of crap at the bottom of the bottle, just like I like it.

Interesting, glad you enjoyed it, I would like to get my hands on the Double Crooked Tree IPA.

Went to a local brew/pub this afternoon. I had a Stout (nitro), Oktoberfest (seasonal), Helles, and a Schwarzbier. All very tasty. Plus bought a six of a Pumpkin Ale and a Brown Ale.

Another day out to the local brew/pubs. Had a Smoked Porter, Mild English Ale, Stout on Nitro, Steam Beer, and a British Mild Ale on Cask, all pretty tasty, also had some garlic fries and chips and salsa and saw the Yankees lose, by the way a Yankee fan was sitting right next to me, actually from New York, Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.

Today having a Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine Style Ale, 11.26% ABV, and very tasty. Also doing some grilling of homemade kielbasa, steak, and a side of homemade potatoe salad. A very nice sunny mid 60s day here in northern utah, everyone have a happy holiday.

Today went over to the local brew/pub and had an Ogtoberfest brew, this was very nice, hoppy with a slight caramel tone.
