Beer Time

sierra nevada porter. first time that i've tried this one. this was a good, slow drinking cold beer.

Nice selection, glad you enjoyed it. SN makes some very inexpensive craft brew's, which taste great.

thanks. porter is a little thicker beer than i normally drink. which is a good reason to drink one, i guess.

currently enjoying a dogfish head 90 minute imperial IPA.

a good beer to have while enjoying the photography thread.

so much to learn, so little time.

I would not say thicker, but more body/flavor. Now, that 90 min. IPA is a very, very tasty brew, just picked up some 60 min. and still have a bottle of 120 to get to.

I had a bottle of DFH 60 min IPA and my last bottle of 90 min IPA last night. The 60 min is my go-to IPA right now, while I drink the 90 min less frequently due to cost..... I love 'em both!

I picked up some singles from Troeg, Stone and Rogue yesterday - going to sample them next week.

Rogue Mocha Porter last night. A good beer, not very complex and seemed a bit flat (in terms of flavor and carbonation) I'd be up for trying it again, but don't think this will be one of my must buy beers.

hmmm ..... i tried the Rogue American Amber Ale this past weekend. i wasn't too impressed with this one. i concur on the "seemed a bit flat (in terms of flavor and carbonation)" comment for this brew also.

That's too bad, Mocha Porter is one of my favorites, but to each their own. :)

WOW! Having a Stone Imperial Russian Stout tonight. Very tasty. Highly recommended.

I've had a couple other Stone brews that were very good, haven't tried this one yet. The Ruination IPA is a very good one. I'll have to check out the Imperial Russian Stout next time I see it.

I've been sick all week and could hardly taste a thing. Feeling better so I grabbed a Troegs Oatmeal stout last night. Smooth, well balanced and a nice finish - very tasty brew. Going to grab a few more of these and the Stone Russian Imperial Stout and compare.

Just got back from a local store that carries a lot of craft beers - no Stone IRS (holy cow 90 IBU's!!) but I did manage to get a bottle of the Stone 10th Anniversary IPA.

Yeah...I guess comparing any Russian Imperial Stout to the Troegs Oatmeal stout is like comparing apples and oranges....too very different styles.

Just got a couple of bottles last week of the Stone 10th, have not tried them yet, will wait a month or two, at the least.

Tried 2 more tonight

Stone Smoked Porter - Great brew...complex and goes down smooth. I'll be stocking up on this.

Victory Storm King Imperial Stout - Drinking this right now - Very tasty....Alcohol bite is more noticable at 9%..a very enjoyable Stout...I'll be getting more of this also.
