Beer Time

Tonight......

1. Stone 10th Anniv IPA

If you are a hop-head like me this beer is a must try. Wonderful hop aroma and taste with a perfect balance of malt. Great mouthfeel and drinkability.....it measures in with 10% ABV but there was hardly any noticable alcohol taste. This is an outstanding beer and one 22 oz bomber will leave you feeling good.

2. Dogfish Head 90 min IPA

This was one of my favorites.......before tonight. Compared to other IPA's it's way too malty...not a lot of balance and not a lot of hop aroma/flavor compared to other IPA's I've had recently. The DFH 60 is perfect in my book...but still not as good as the Stone 10th Anniv.

Get the Stone 10th anniv while you can...its a great brew.

walnuts,

I have a couple of the 10th sitting in the closet. Tonight having a couple of Zonker's Stout, very tasty, toffee/caramel flavor, malty.

Tonight a couple of a local craft brew, Wasatch Pumpkin Ale, my first try at this style, very very tasty, could drink a bunch of these, especially at 4% ABV.

I finally tried Guinness from the widget bottle and it honestly didn't taste as good as I thought it would. Rolling Rock was another story-- I really liked the apparent taste and bitterness/sourness.

Tonight again a couple of local craft brew's, a Unita Brewing Company Bristlecone Brown Ale. Man this is a very tasty Brown Ale, got a sixer of it (it's only sold in a sampler pack).

We have a couple of local breweries/brewpubs that I get a growler from here and there. I haven't found a smooth Brown ale locally yet, but am always looking!

They should be popping up around this time of year, good luck in your search. Sam Adam's makes a nice one, tried it earlier this year.

Yep, I like SA's Brown Ale a lot! On another SA note, I wish they brough Old Fezziwig back in six packs instead of the samplers. Maybe this year?!?!

Never heard of that one. What style of brew is it?

Tonight a bomber of Rouge Half-E-Weizen. BA sez it's a Witbier, no way, it's totally different, but pretty tasty.

It's a holiday/Christmas offering, superb imo. A touch better than SN Celebration Ale most years anyway.

ok, it's still around, it's a winter warmer, but at only 5.6% not doing much warming, lol Nice to know it tastes great. If I ever see it, I will try some out.

Decided to have another bomber, this time it's a Rogue Kell Irish Style Lager, not bad, but most likely will not buy again, just not that impressed with it.

Tonight having a couple of Founders Imperial Stout, probably the best Stout I've ever had, this is a special brew in my book. Clocks in at 10% ABV, but you would not know it, very very tasty.
