300,000 Miles, and Showroom Clean...

Wow, that is beautiful! Really, I never thought those older Acuras were nice, but for some reason, your Acura makes me want to go out an buy one!

Dude, your photography skills are almost as good as your detail work! I'm going to have to let you come out with me and shoot my car the next time you are down here. I need some pictures like that! Great work on everything about that car. You continue to be Best of Show in all respects. :)

Wow, you brought back so many memories for me I had forgotten. I used to love this car back in high school (14 years ago), had a poster of it in my bedroom.

Beautiful car, very impressive in its age and mileage.

Great write up and testimonial of Acura/Honda reliability. I currently have 150K on my DD and do not see a forseeable time of replacing it. This gives me inspiration.

Looks incredible. Honda reliability and long-term dependability is the reason I bought my Element!

I'm a mere 15k into my seven month old '08 Element and going flawlessly!

Still racking em up. I drove to LA and back on Sunday. I hit up a Legend meet while I was there.

I think it's simply *wonderful* how you're having so much fun racking up the miles on your car(s).

Haha, thanks, I'm definitely having fun with it!

hoping my honda too will last that long!

Maintenance is key! Keep it up and your car will pay for itself time and again.

Do it! You can find a nice 94/95 LS coupe these days for relatively cheap. It's a lot of car for your money.

I'd love to get my hands on that poster! I collect Legend brochures and literature.

Haha, it's fun. Every once in awhile I'll take the 4-door to work and half the time nobody even notices that I'm driving a different car :).

I do 15k every 3-4 months! Haha.

Difference is my car is much much younger. I don't want to keep adding miles to it until it's paid off (in 5 years!) :har:

Spectacular !!! Great job with mild cosmetic restore. Fabulous detailing !!! Testament to both the cars quality and the care of its owner. :)

Wow! The car looks great and like everyone else, I'm stealing the Excel log. :goodjob

It's amazing how many dealers have serviced this car. You seem to have had the car fixed in most of the southwest states!

This is absolutely AMAZING!

Just WOW!!!!

Have you done a compression test on the motor yet? I'd be curious to see the results. What about an oil analysis?

Wow, this got bumped up again! Haha. Here are newer pics.

Drove to New Jersey and back in November.

Northern Utah - dirty.

Cleaned back up in AZ.

With its 4-door "twin" at my new home (moved in ~3 weeks ago). My 4-door only has about 136k on it.

Has it made it to 400,000?

Not yet. This is my most recent milestone - last night.

Thanks :) I went to the Infiniti dealership yesterday to look at G37 6MT coupes. The salesperson couldn't believe it when I told him the Legend had that many miles.

Yes, the car's been in the southwest for most of its life. Here's the updated last few services on the spreadsheet.

Never had a compression test done. Oil analysis - yes. Twice by Blackstone Laboratories.

Sample #1 was taken 12/29/06 at mileage 264,658.

Sample #2 was taken 12/20/08 at mileage 358,050.

4cruizn- Thanks for the update, I always like to see what's up with you and that car :D

Heh heh, it's service costs over the last year are almost as bad as a certain A8 I can think of (but that car only has ~90K on it- and I bet your four-door would put it to shame too :o ).

How often do you do the big items like the timing belt?

TB and WP every 90,000 miles or sooner.

backwoods_lex said:
Dear God that's a big bill for a timing belt and water pump!

And a radiator, which alone was a $500 part. All OEM parts and installed by an Acura technician who does work on the side. Timing belt isn't due again until 418,000 so thankfully the expense doesn't come around that often. ;)
