300,000 Miles, and Showroom Clean...

I've been lucky enough to inspect this car in person. He drove it up to the OCDetails fall show a couple years ago and it swept a couple of the categories. I've never seen a vehicle that old with that many miles on it look as good as that car looks. Even with as anal and obessive as I am I could honestly not find a single thing I would do to improve how it looked. Everything that could be cleaned was cleaned. This car could compete in concourse show events and give any car a run for its money. You'll never find a daily driver that is driven so much look this good. All I can say is 'WOW' and my hat goes off to Tyson for his dedication to maintanance in all forms on his car. Bravo!!!

I love travel. It's all leisure mileage. I've hit up 25 states so far. I live in Arizona but visit family frequently throughout Utah, travel often to southern California, and have driven cross-country twice in addition to the Alaska trip and a couple of times into Mexico.

Needless to say, the dealerships know me personally.

That's awesome man! I am happy to hear that the mileage is leisure and not work related ;)

If you're ever down in the New Orleans area let me know. I'd love to see the jewel in person... :bigups

4cruizn- That's just *wonderful*, thanks for sharing it with us! You really do the whole vehicle ownership thing right :xyxthumbs

And I echo the comments on its being done with OTC products..that was one of the first things that caught my attention.

Jngrbrdman- Your :bow goes a long way in my book and shows that it wasn't just spiffed up for this one presentation but is kept nice all the time. Oh, and hi! :wavey seems like I haven't seen you around here recently.

Thanks Anthony. It was your OCDetails site that first made me realize that I wasn't the only person that was a little obsessed with keeping my vehicle looking its finest :).

Absolutely! I still have 25 more states to hit up, so I guarantee I'll be in your neck of the woods sometime... Get me your contact info and I'll let you know beforehand!

It looks so slick.

That's what the dealership said about the paint in my engine bay (which is also waxed)... LOL

lol, it's almost like car porn... or something. :rofl

Awesome! I keep a maintenance chart like that on Excel. Your pics and ride makes me fall in love with my Acura all over again.

I gotta 2005 TL and I'm over 50,000. I drive everywhere and I give it true TLC almost everyday. Love the 6-speed tranny. Smooth trans unlike any other!

You have been getting a lot of praise, and I'm not very original, but I just wanted to pipe in as well and tell you what an amazing job you have done keeping that car maintained both mechanically and cosmetically!!

It may not be a Honda/Acura... but if my VW could last half that long I would be happy. Also, I'm copying your excel maintenance schedule for my car. :)

Simply amazing. I won't try to get 300K out of my VW, but my wife's Benz should go that long. It's at 173K and your Acura looks better.

Michigan is far from you but if you haven't been here yet, check out the west side of the state. Actually come see it all!

Wow, that car is still in fabulous condition. You inspired me to take better care of my 93 MR2 which is still quite pristine. :)

will you bring it if we can make the "get together" happen!

Absolutely! I posted in that thread so hopefully we can get some renewed interest and get the ball rolling.

Will do! That's one of the states I've yet to cross off...

Glad to hear it! :)

4cruizn,

You look familiar, did you by chance happen to live in Illinois at any point in time?

I am sure I am wrong, but had to ask. By the way, your car look amazing.

lol, I didn't even remember posting a picture -- unless you're looking at the one on my maintenance spreadsheet from 4 years ago. Nope, I never lived in IL, but I've been through there a couple of times. Maybe I have a long-lost twin :).

Car looks amazing with that many miles on it. I thought my '98 Civic LX looked good with 200K on it.

Hondas and Acuras can run forever with good maintenance. My friend has a Honda/Acura repair shop here in town and he has a few cars with 300-400K that come in on a regular basis.

4cruizn...i dont know what else i can say that has not been said already, but you have done an excellent job on keeping the car in tip top shape and i know you will keep it up...your cars are thanking you

Absolutely immaculate! Don't see too many owners run their mileage up to that point. Heck, in my city, people would have gone through their third cars. I'm especially surprised how well the leather held up.
