If possible, I'd like to make this a totally anonymous poll.
There is not an "other" option so if you don't plan to vote for these candidates, you're going to have to either not vote or start your own poll. :D
I really don't want to start a political debate, but there is a reason for my doing this. I'll post that reason after a few days of voting. (I hope :))

This should be interesting...my vote is for Obama...I hope that who ever is elected can help our economy...plain and simple!

I watched both conventions and all I took from it was promises...both side promised great things if elected...lets hope either sides if they get in can hold up to their words!

I'm not voting for either of them.

I won't say much cause like you said you don't want this to turn into a political debate. But i will say this, i won't vote for 4 more years of the same policies and i won't vote for 4 years of learn as you go politics.

Unfortunately thanks to the electoral college, only about 10 to 15 states will get to decide who the next president is. From what I have seen, Obama leads in the locked electoral votes (NY, California, etc) but it is the usual batteground states (Florida, Ohio, Michigan, etc) where it gets decided.

I live in NC and we rarely have seen presidential ads since the state usually votes Republican for president (but for some reason Democrat at state and local, so who knows why). I did see a few Obama ads and one McCain ad already so something has changed.

Iwould like a change.

With that said one could argue that my requisite could be accomplished with either candidate.

One thing I like about this election is the fact whomever wins.....History will be made!

Obama said he will not raise my taxes only big business.

That is great but since they pass on all overhead
I will need to figure out how to get by without buying Clothes grocery's Gas Cars or any thing else I may need.

If you believe that I have some real estate i will sell you on Mars. Seems we are settling and making a colony soon.

I have no reason NOT to believe it.
Obama has said repeatedly that he will raise taxes on big business.
Perhaps you are one of those who think that when they pay more it will not be passed on to you.

I will be giving my vote to McCain. I don't even think Obama knows what he wants to change. He just knows that he wants it.

"We live in a country which is the greatest country in the world, we have the best economy and a country wherein our dreams fulfilled, so I ask you to join me as we change it."

Yes, yes I know the quotes are plentiful on both sides.

As a "financial person" I'm not very enthused with either of the two.

true detailer said it all
i'm not voting for either of them

Just realize that not voting only gives you the right to be content with who is elected. I hate to hear people complain about the current president when they didn't even vote in the last election. You're given a right to make your voice heard. It's sad that more people don't do it. Most of the time, you're voting for the less of two evils. Candidates all lie about one thing or another. I don't agree with some of the views that McCain has, but he's better for the military. I just don't feel Obama is qualified.

Obama has tons of promises but who is going to pay for it ? What has he done to prove he can run our country.

I'm not the biggest McCain supporter but he seems a lot more qualified for the job and both he and Palin seem to work for the right reasons.

Obama has tons of promises but who is going to pay for it ?

GWB has been giving and spending away money and he has not cared who is going to pay for it. We are spending $10 Billion a month in Iraq. The money dumped in Iraq rivals in any liberal spending idea. The GOP has been in control of Congress for a long time and the white house for the last 2 terms so how can they blame liberals.

I am not defending Obama but there is some much criticism of the tax and spend liberals when they forget we have plenty of spend Republicans who give away tax cuts without any consideration on how to pay. People lapped it up and stopped thinking about what is really going on here.

Hey.about about another $1 billion for Georgia?

Wake up everyone. The enemy is us.

The GOP has been in control of Congress for a long time

Actually, I believe Congress is under Democratic control now, although I may be mistaken. It's also the least accomplished Congress and has the lowest approval rate of any Congress ever.

Democrat versus Republican is part of the reason there's so many problems with our political system now.
