zaino help

Do you guys apply wax over wax that hasn't been removed? Does putting wax over wax make the original wax easier to remove? Not in my experience.

There's just too many weird little things in this thread...something isn't being communicated clearly.

Oddly enough, that works with Acrylic Jett. :nixweiss

Seems to me that he has either a bad bottle of Z2 or ZFX if he has used older versions in the past with no problems.

I know both the ZFX'ed Z2 Pro I used and the non ZFX'ed Z5 were both very easy to apply and remove. I can't imagine either being difficult to use unless it was applied extremely thick or there was a problem with the actual product.

maybe that depends on the solvent content of a particular product. a higher solvent percentage product might soften that residue.

never mind....i'll stick with klasse

and no, i dont keep piling on product

If you didn't wash the vehicle or remove the excess with a damp (water) towel, the product was piling on itself and is likely to be part of the problem.

I'm just trying to work through the problem with you to find a solution, but if you don't want anymore help, it's no sweat for me.

Have a good one :)

I have the red cap pink Z2 (still a lot left). I believe this is the version prior to the version that was out just before Z2Pro...did that make sense ? ....2 versions ago. :p

Can you confirm ? I'm just curious.

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,

Your statement is correct. There was a minor tweak which came with a white cap just before Z2-PRO was released. Sal did some blind testing with the initial release of Z2-PRO and ship some Z2 labeled-white cap bottles.

steveo3002,

Z2-PRO has a much wetter, deeper and richer appearance than the previous Z2 with even better durability and rain spotting resistance. In combination with Z8 one would be very hard pressed to distinquish a Z2-PRO finish with proper prep from a good natural wax.

Another plus is that only 3 coats of Z2-PRO will maximize appearance.

No more chasing the once elusive wax-like appearance. :wall

AJ is emulsion based, not solvent based.

I've found that a little SG wowo over dried SG removes it as well.

i scrubed it off with a mf and z8, then tried it without zfx...cleaned it off and so on

It definitely takes a little time to get the hang of spreading Z2 Pro thin, but it's worth it! I still get it a little too thick at first sometimes, but it sure does look good!!

Sounds like a very peculiar problem. Could be a bad bottle or most likely an old bottle. Are all these applications you mentioned with same bottle of Z2?

How about your applicator? Clean? other products on it?

You do really need to apply it "whisper thin". Sometimes I apply it too thick because i just cant believe I'm putting it on when its soooo thin.

Yeah, I dont thin Z8 is meant for removing product. Z6 could be used for this. Z8 is a sealant. So essentialy your adding sealant to remove sealant!

Actually, if Z5/Z2 is over-applied or is troublesome coming off, neither are recommended. A water-damp towel or a Z7 wash are the best way to approach the situation.

If it's just a little smudge here or there Z6 is fine. Otherwise, follow the above.

Yup your right!! During normal removal I use some Z6 spritzed before I remove, aids in a smooth removal.

ZaneO is right for trouble areas.

I had the same problem wihen I used the older Z2 with Zfx. It was really hard to remove. Due to this i haven't used it for a few years. I recently tried it again but this time with no zfx(it had dried up). It went on perfect and was really easy to remove. I don't know if this was from not using zfx or what.
