Your thoughts ???????

Duke is a private facility so it can permit such activity so long as it doesn't interfere or disturb the residents surrounding the campus.

I bet the prayer rugs won't depict the Blue Devil insignia.

Duke is a private university so they can do what they want and has always been quite liberalfor equal access to religions plus Duke has a Methodist seminary program. Chick-fil-A was out in part due to renovations on campus and more than one national chain was booted.

From an article

One change that Muslim students have obtained at several public universities is a prayer room. Praying five times a day is a requirement in the Islamic faith, with four prayers occurring in the latter half of the day. The University of California, Berkeley has a meditation room that Muslim students and others can use for prayers. Meanwhile, students at the University of California, Davis, Henry Ford Community College (Mich.), the University of Portland (Ore.), and other public universities have exclusive prayer rooms.

Again, equal treatment or special treatment? The minority rule the majority more and more it seems. Also on a side note...how do these Muslims get any work done when they gotta pray 5 times a day? <_<

Great as always, Anthony !

Well, since they as a people are on a mission to have as many children from all their wives as possible to take over the world, perhaps those prayer rooms will also work as Nursery's too ??? :)

Yeah, who is paying for the person who has to go pray 5 times a day every day?

Wonder if we can have a Christian Prayer/Meditation Room too ???

Well Duke reversed their decision to allow the Muslim call to prayer.

I don't really care either way as long as it's equal treatment

but even though duke is a private facility, don't they have to make certain things available to get federal funds of some sort?

Some TV evangelists are doing this all the time. You do not need a new religion..just start a church.

LeMarque !

Thank you for bringing us the Big Hair, Valium Abusers Hour !!!
I loved it !!!! :)

Amazing how people still try to predict something with facts, etc., that unfortunately, will always be wrong...

No One, except Heavenly Father, knows the date and time, and that is all there is to it...

I guess he misunderstood what the Almighty told him.

The Scriptures are very clear in saying that no one knows the time, not even the Angels...
And the time will never be revealed to us either...
And the Savior has said many times to always be ready for no one knows the time..

Look at the Parable of the 10 Virgins Bridesmaids invited to the Marriage to light the way.
It got late, they all fell asleep, and suddenly the Bridegroom appeared for the wedding..
5 were prepared to go to the Wedding when the Bridegroom came and 5 were not prepared because they had no oil for their lamps..
No one knows when He is coming, no one is going to be told when He is coming...
And half of the people will be prepared, and half will not be prepared...

The real question in regards to the "End Times" or anything dealing with Eschatology in that regard is, "What has and what has not taken place?" In many theologians minds or views on the subject is that there is no "rapture" and Christ will not be coming again for He has already done so. There will or may be another return of Christ BUT it will not be like many churches teach.

There is a growing movement within evangelical christians called "Pretorists" and they hold to a belief that the rapture is a fable, Christ has already come and gone and there is no prophecy left unfulfilled.

They do have some interesting arguments to support these views and others left unanswered.

As for the TV evangelist goons.....they would be nothing without an audience.

None is the above is surprising..

The very Scriptures in Old Testament prophecy about His coming, and being rejected..

He did come, according to the Scriptures, and the New Testament is full of His mission on the earth.. And He was rejected and crucified..

Again, the Scriptures in many places testify of His return to claim this earth and all who believe in Him, and endured to the end...

As for arguing, debating, about it, etc., I would rather spend time reading, thinking, and praying about this to receive my own confirmation of the truth - and I have...
