Worst Detail of 2009! - Extreme Paint Correction by Unique Car Care!

WOW! That's all I can say! Very good detailed process. You guys did a GREAT job on that vehicle. I bet he was ready to consider keeping it! Thanks for sharing! :wow: :buffing: :2thumbs:

Wow best before and after I think I have EVER SEEN! Hell I thought some of those panels where wet sanded and just never buffed, with how bad they where scratched.

You are truly Masters of your craft! I didn't think such a recovery was possible.

Now why the body shop used a scotchbrite pad on a Makita is the big question. :lol

Thanks alot for all the great comments!!!!! In the past 20 years of doing this, this particular car was one of the worst to work on.

Your Welcome Rick!!!!!!!! You know I love disasters and a great challenge!!! I live for it!!!!

The pre-condition state of this car is LAUGHABLE. Did the owner or the previous detailer skip the washing steps prior polishing? I've seen a couple of neighbours wash their Hondas (soft paint) with a old T-shirts and improper soap water without creating those kinds of damages. Not even close.

This is just amazing.

RickRack- Great job on a very challenging car :xyxthumbs

I'm guessing 3M Extra Cut and M105 for most of the serious work?

The before condition was really, uhm...really something.

Wonder if the owner is still so set on selling it now that it looks good again.

WOOWWOOWOWOOWOW! I bet the guy keeps it instead of selling it. I'm surprized you didnt' remove/replace the emblems instead of workign around them-considering how long it was taking. I'm just being picky though.

Thanks again everyone!

I really appreciate the kind words!

As for the products used, it included 3M Extra Cut and M105 for all of the heavy compounding, SIP, PO203S and IP for the medium polishing and 106fa, 85rd & 85u for the final polishing.

A variety of pads were used including black lambs wool, cyan hydro-tech, tangerine hydro-tech, orange flat, white flat & black flat.

Any other questions, feel free to ask...

RickRack- Did you use any foam pads with the 3M EC, or just the black wool?

I'd love to hear your opinions about the two HydroTech pads.
