Just a guess but I doubt those extras actually add much more than a 2 or 3 dollars to the price.

Again these are just uneducated guesses but I'd think things like DVD's, fancy applicators and such are just there to give the wax a bit more of a 'special' feeling. Souverne comes in a fancy bag that is useless but it makes it makes it seem higher end to some customers.

Refills probably work out similarly for them, anyone have stats on how many tubs they never see again? If only 30% or so of the people come back for more then it is like rebate offers where most people don't ever get around to mailing them in. The upfront offer sounds good and gets the sale but the additional cost for the company doesn't arrive. Not that it wouldn't be cool to get a full size tube for half the price but it just isn't as simple as that.

Also you are dissecting the prior special too much. Taking a 2 for 1 sale apart sounds great but often it is just like the free items, companies are happier to have the 1 sale for $100 rather than have to mess with two sales for $50. It costs less in time and processing and you only need half the number of customers on your site. And, this is a big and, is that those had freeze damage. They worked fine from what I've seen but they weren't acceptable to sell as first quality so they probably wanted to move them out of inventory fast and get on with things.

good point too, termigator, part of what makes the fancy waxes so appealing is they aren't the ones that everyone has. It is a wax you aspire to own.

$40 for 3 ounces is pricey too, especially when they were at $50 for 8 ounces, I'm saying they should sell the regular size version without the extra stuff that comes with it to lower the price... and cut the price in half and not offer the free refill.

Wasn't the $50 price for the frozen Fuzion which is all gone now? So, $40 bucks for 3 ozs. vrs. $175 for 8 ozs. plus a free re-fill is still not a bad deal especially if you don't like it.

I used my mini Fuzion today over P21S paint cleanser. It's easy to apply, and to wipe off. It has a wet look to it, and looks great on my black metallic paint.

This is jmo, but I wouldn't pay 175.00 for it though, even with a refill. While the Fuzion looks great, it looks no better than P21 100%. I can't tell the difference in the two.

It sounds like a nice looking wax and maybe its a bit more durable than a regular carnauba but I don't see them selling it at $175 for a long time, it doesn't seem to be worth it.

Is any wax really worth that much?. I couldn't even begin to understand why anyone would pay the outrageous amount Zymol charges for their waxes. But people do. Adam's just came out with their own overpriced wax (IMO)and I'm sure people are going to buy it. Is it (or any of them for that matter) any better than say, S100 at $15? I don't know, but I'm also not going to lighten my wallet to find out.

I probably will too. Oddly, I found a wax (currently out of production) that really love. So I did a hard target search and found a few tubs in HI. Of course I bought all they had left. And yet I still find myself wanting to try Fuzion (and others). :D:D:D

I'd like to see Fuzion on half a hood and S100 or P21S on the other half, post the pic up with a poll and see how many people can tell the difference. I'd do it myself but I don't have any Fuzion.

You can't differentiate in photos, unfortunately.

Photos don't show much at all really - too many variables come into play and the medium is limited in what it can reproduce.

*Maybe* you'll be able to see if one wax darkens more than the other, but that's about it.

It's been proven on Autopia time and time again.

I never use photos to judge any wax, they almost always end up looking the same in photos. What I'm interested in is some durability testing between the frozen fuzion and the regular stuff. Some people are saying the frozen stuff is behaving differently, not lasting long, being oily, etc...

I can't really tell that big of a difference in the three. Now when I applied "pink moose wax" as a base and then P21s 100% it was a wow factor unlike any other wax I have used. Souveran paste was the same way. Maybe it was the pink moose wax base?? Fuzion looks great as well, but not worth 175 to me even with a refill. jmo I bought two mini fuzions.

You would just have to see waxes in person. Like was said, you can't really tell by pics on the net because of lighting, angles and such. If you're on a budget get what you can afford. If you have some money to play around with, then try what your money will allow.

I have many of the high end sealants and carnauba's and it is hard to say a 2,500 or an 8,000 dollar wax looks that much better (if any) than say Fuzion, P21s 100%, or Souveran.

From what I've read elsewhere in "The Big wax test" Collinite 915 in a (blind test with same prep, on seven of the same black cars) beat Royale, Z-2, Raceglaze and a couple other top priced waxes for looks. I never even gave Collinite a second glance before I read this test.

Cool, I just traded for some Fuzion for my similarly bright red HHR.
