Ugliest Cars Made?

I'm not sure what you guys think are the ugliest cars currently made, but for me the Toyota Prius gets the award - big time. I had to do a complete detail on one the other day (white too, yuk) and hated every minute of it.



EDIT: I recently acquired a client with a black Prius...it's kinda grown on me, but I like just about all swirl-free black cars.

Whew, I kind of took a risk with the choice, but I'm glad someone else feels that way. Sure, the Aztek is uglier in absolute terms, but the 300C looks like something that Archie Bunker would drive! The new Accord copied the rear window "gansta line" and it is gross too.

Chevy Avalanche, Cobalt, HHR and Monte Carlo

Chrysler Crossfire

Dodge Caliber

Honda Element and Ridgeline

Lexus RX330



I know I'm missing some but that is all I can think of for now.

I can understand how some folks will take issue with it (I like it, personally). Didn't you recently sell your Boxster for a 3-series? Now if we're talking ugly, or just plain dull, I'd have to vote for the "old" Boxster (and the new one ain't much better)! If I could afford it, I'd buy the new Cayman in a heart beat, though!

Think the 300 looks big an boxy? This thing is expected to be 17" longer, about 6" taller, and you sit 7" higher than the current 300. I don't know what they were thinking when they designed that rear end. It's enough to make the 300 look like a beauty queen.



I actually like the Vehicross, too. I wouldn't own one, I've read their reliability sucks, but I like the exterior design.



While we're talking about ugly, lets not forget design flubs like the Hyundai XG350 and early Sonatas, and older things like the AMC Pacer and the Yugo.
 
Ford's Fusion makes me think that the old Taurus was beautimous.

I'll add to the Aztek and others:



Toyota Echo (too upright, looks like a port-a-potty on wheels)

Nissan Sentra (ugly butt)

Almost anything Hyundai or Kia (bottom of the barrel designers)

BMW Z4 (flame surfacing? WTFizzat? Bring back the classic bimmer designs instead of the Bangle bungles)

Chevy Malibu (okay, Chevy also has bottom of the barrel designers working for them)
