Even when he posted about it on the Meguairs Forums he didnt even list it as the VERY TOP subject, instead he posted it near the end and never spouted off about Zaino's products.
Diffrent Strokes for Diffrent Folks, some like Zaino some dont. Get off of your high horses and take a chill.
dternst said:Irrelevant. Mike acknowleged, documented, and posted the comparison. All highly visible posters, regardless of the location of the original post, realize and understand how quickly a post such as this will propagate through the other forums.
ZaneO said:I guess that makes Meguiar's a better product...
he jumped on the Zaino bandwagon and was still was uneducated, but to no thanks of Zaino
a.k.a. Patrick said:So, what, propeganda? He wrote the thread in his own forum! You blame Mike that it got here, and gets roughhoused ??! ! Cmon!
If Zaino did a durability "comparison" on a Zaino forum, Zaino would be hyped as well!
When Mike had Autopia day at Meg's, the thread derived from that day was for the benefit of Autopians, as is the Zaino/NXT comparison.....
Once again, an Autopian thread stretched beyond its limits.....
Cant anyone read a thread without purposely poking and prodding, construing results for other than what its intended for ? (Wartime propaganda)
What is evident is NXT hid some swirls, darkend the paint, removed some oxidation vs, as opposed to what 12 layers of Zaino looks like. All can agree, two weeks later, the whole car will look like the Z'd side, so what! PPC is what is really needed...
Mike Phillips said:If you want a deep wet shine, with crystal clear reflections, if you want to do everything you can to eliminate those unsightly cobwebs swirls, then use Tech Wax. If you want the so-called plasticy look, (shine with all the scratches), then use the Zaino.
groebuck said:Hmmm - my 2 cents for what it's worth - I read through Mike's posts at MOL and never got the sense he was bashing or presented it in an unfair manner.
geekysteve said:That's not the way it reads on MOL. You said, "Next up, our attention was focused on removing the swirls and restoring a rich, wet-looking high gloss finish to this black C5. The owner of the Corvette told us that he had over 12 layers of Zaino on his car..<snip>....when viewed up close, the finish is on the dull and hazy side because of the thousands of swirls in the finish. The black paint has what people call a plastic or plasticy look and lacks clarity and richness."

dternst said:Your kidding right? Please tell me your kidding. MOL is not a cheerleading section? My sides are hurt I'm laughing so hard. MOL is nothing more than a group of Mequiars users singing the praises of Meguiars Products and poorly representing every other product out on the market.
Mequiars users throw the word "zealot" around alot but there is no ZOL.
