I was PM’d by a member asking if I could post a little info about this product here. It appears that it was posted on another forum, but because of their strict rules, it was taken down? This product’s website makes no mention about it’s ability to be used in an automotive environment, but I don’t really see how it couldn’t be formulated to do so. I couldn’t imagine how a product like this couldn’t revolutionize the car care industry?

Company info: Ross Technology

Web-site: Superhydrophobic Coatings | Corrosion Control & Waterproof Coatings | NeverWet

Product: Never Wet Coating

Product info: At Ross Nanotechnology, we have developed a super hydrophobic coating that completely repels water and heavy oils. Any object coated with our NeverWet™ coating literally cannot be touched by liquid. Any liquid placed on this coating is repelled and simply rolls off without touching the underlying surface. Not only is this amazing to see, but it solves a myriad of problems

Water on our surfaces sits as an almost perfect sphere. Water beads “glide” over our surfaces like a skate gliding over ice, with almost no surface friction. The contact angle of water on a surface is the angle of the leading edge of a water droplet on the surface as measured from the center of the droplet. A surface with a contact angle of 180 degrees would mean that water sits on it as a perfect sphere. Hydrophobic surfaces are measured between 90 degrees and 180 degrees.

Videos: WARNING!!! You've never seen anything like this before!!! :jaw::jaw::jaw::wow::wow::wow:

Dave - the guys at sema repping Permanon (??) made the products sound like a dream - however now I am learning about how you have to use another product monthly. I love the idea, but I need to use it in order to believe. Haven't watched these videos yet, but saw the tennis shoe one. Very promising.

No connection - Have you ever tried oxy clean? All those claims yet when I use it, it doesn't really do anything.

As I said, I am not doubting it, but at this age, I'd like to repeat those claims myself. If indeed true, my goodness.

Try Oxi-Clean.......

Yes. The wife bought a tub of it once and we used it for soaking dirty clothes. It ended up being designated as the stuff I used to wash nasty detail towels.

Certainly! If this stuff is legit, every paint sealant/coating company better be getting some pointers from Dr. Vinod Sikka and Andrew Jones!!

i've tried contacting them and got nothing. have called and left messages and sent emails and no response. not impressed with their customer service so far. would like to get some never wet to try on fabrics and glass. but since i can't get a hold of anyone at never wet or ross nano technology guess i'll not be trying it anytime soon.

Its not there customer service. If you contacted them and listened to there voicemail "it states that there are not offering anything to the general retail public.

Then you BETTER make them aware that YOU are the World Famous Barry Theal and get us some friggin samples!

From what I've read, there will be consumer versions, but they are entertaining offers from companies to distribute (area rights) and market into different classes of business.

Wow, that stuff looks amazing. Those videos.. just wow... I'm speechless (and that doesn't happen often, you know... ;) )

I'd love to coat my tile shower with that stuff... my cars, windows, iPhone, kids.

Hope it sees the market soon.

I'll certainly be keeping an eye on this. As far as getting some of it goes, I'm sure where there's a will, there's a way.

but they have to answer first. they haven't responded to me yet. they are a bit out of my way others wise i would show up on their at their door.

I was just about to start a thread about this. Amazing. I really hope this can be worked into some sort of paint protection.
