Before you give up for good on SG, try this method - the way I do it.
Take a clean MF towel and wet it completely with water. Wring it out so that it is between completely wrung out and not dripping wrung out. (In other words you could still wring out a tablespoon's worth of water if you really twisted the heck out of it). Fold in half, then into 1/3's, at right angles to the first fold. Drizzle a fine line of SG down the center, parallel to the longest side. then wipe on a body panel or half (roof, hood, trunk, etc). IMMEDIATELY wipe off with a clean dry MF - you will probable need a minimum of 6 MS's just for the SG wipe-off part - always try to use a clean surface - reusing a part of the MF already used for wipe-off can leave streaks. Use the available light to look for streaks or smears and continue wiping until none remain. When adding SG to the MF for the next panel or part of a panel, add a little less SG each time - remember not all of it went on the vehicle and the applicator MF is "loading" with SG. After doing about 1/3 or you vehicle, refold the applicator MF to expose a clean, but damp surface (misting with water if becoming "dry"). You will know when to do this because you can detect a little "stickiness" on the MF and/or fingers. When done, re-examine for streaks - this is the part where having some SONUS Acrylic Spritz is handy. Lightly mist with SONUS the wipe down with yet another clean dry MF for a beautiful finish.
