The Best Chamois/Drying Towel!

If I recall if shipped via US Postal Service it's around $10 to ship to Australia from the US. The large envelope could probably hold 3-4 WW towels.

Thats great! Ur right, the shipping is around 10 AUD because the total for a 10 USD towel was 24.95 AUD. Thanks for that, im going to order together with friends now. :xyxthumbs

civicdacbiet, I imported the Megs WW form the US I got it with other towels as well, the total was about $50AUS thats was for about 6 MF and the WW including postage, damn good when you remember that a single MF here is about $10 plus postage. Worth importing especially with friends to spread the cost :D

I forgot about the MF detailing, polishing and buffing towels. Im gonna need some of them too. Maybe i should start a new thread for the best MF polishing/buffing/quick detailing cloths too?

Are they one and the same for all three functions?

Most people like to use thick, plush towels for QDing.

I use my cheaper ones (WCD) for QEWing and QDing. I have yellow ExcelDetail supremes for interior use, and blue ExcelDetail supremes for exterior use (buffing, LSP removal, etc...)

My take in drying towels:

1) Excel detail Monterey WW - The best drying towel overall. It is thin, but drinks water like a drunk in hangover day.... very soft, and no streaks.

2) Pakshak WW - Looks nice and expensive, and performs according to its looks. I just find the monterey better as it is softer.

3) WCD WW - Not performing up to expectation the first times, but after a few washes they are at full steam now. Very absorbent, no streaks. They are just not as soft.

4) Walmart microtex drying towel - If raw drying power is what you want, the search ends here. At its size, it better absorb water like a camel. Very soft, thick and plush. As downside, size makes it harder to use, and streaks once gets saturated.

The best approach: Get most of the water with a high absorbency towel (microtex) then finish with a WW. Dry car in 4 minutes.

Alex

PS. I think I need to revise my technique. Not even with the microtex I can dry a full compact car (Astra) with only one towel.

I always use two WWs for drying. I always get some streaking by the end of the car, so I don't even bother trying to dry it all with one towel anymore. I just get most of the drops with one towel and go over it again with a second one, picking up any leftover drops, and any streaks.

I have a Water Magnet and I like it a lot. It seems to work as well as my other WW that I paid almost twice as much for.

Can someone give me some tips in looking for good MF polishing, buffing and detailing cloths? I might pick some up while im ordering though. I guess i spent too much time looking for a good WW drying towel that i don't know a thing on where to start about buying MF cloths...

www.Danase.com has there mf & WW on sale including PB mf towels (25% off). I have there WW towles and for the price they are great and soft. They are softer then WCD WW but slightly less soft as PB WW. But for $11.21 for 2 (today is the last day they are on sale) it hard to pass on that deal.

I used to use the Absorber, but am now using Viking's Blue MF towel sold at AutoZone. It's the best towel I've used to dry the car with. I also like to use a Leaf Blower.
