The Best Chamois/Drying Towel!

How much do they cost at Walmart?

I must admit I would be keen on getting WW MF with the pockets, which have been mentioned earlier in this thread.

priced pretty reasonable at around $7.

you should try the microtex big blue mf drying towel from wal-mart, it's slightly better imo.

I have, they are pretty good too, still dunno which i like better, both are not bad for off the shelf

Most seem to prefer WW towels for drying. Some, like the Big Blue, have the more common finish knap. Is one any better than the other for drying?

i've got the big blue and it's not very soft now. that's after 6 months of heavy usage. the other ones i have are from my supplier and they're soft wash after wash. so i don't know. mine are 24"x36" and are fine for drying any car. but i've got whole cases of them so it doesn't really matter to me right? ;)

Im in the process of ordering the towels. can anyone give me a last minute comparison between megs water magnet, pakshak, monterey and big blue?

I own the PakShak towels and have used the Water Magnet. The Megs towel is nice, but its not nearly big enough to get the job done, and its not as soft as the PakShak towel. Still nice, but my money goes to the PakShak. I have 4, and even at $20/each they are worth every penny.

Pakshak big 25 x 36 WW is by far the best. I tried the Megs water magnet and it left marks on my paintwork, not impressed at all, I now use it to dry my wheels! The Pakshak quality is far superior and never leaves any marks, one easily dries a whole car in no time - I wouldn't dry my car with anything else now.

I bought some irregular ones at $9.00 each - major bargain!!!

I bought two of those, and IMO I STOLE them at that price! The 'irregularity' was barely noticabe and they are definitely worth the full price of $18 each. If another deal like that comes along I will buy as many as I can afford (I'll give them to friends and stuff, who still refuse to use anything other than old bath towels).

I use a Big Blue 2. Works great and I end up with a dry car and a damp ww. There's never enough water to wring out on the towel.

The Water Magnets are great. And keep an eye out at Targets. Monday I picked up two Water Magnets towels on clearance for $2.84 each. They were the last ones. I've been to three other local Targets and haven't found any more. Maybe it was a store clearance or something.

Damn you're lucky. We can't even get them in Canada unless we buy directly from Meguiars (which is $$$).

:woohoo: Post 100 baby.

I've got some friends interested in some quality WW too. I'm willing to split with them if it works out to be cheaper. I'm in Australia btw.

Any1 know from experience how much cheaper to import 2 towels, considering shipping and postage? How about 3?

...on my way to Target....

Great towel and at that price, an unbeatable bargain!

I don't use them with QEW but I do have a couple conventional wash customers and between the Meguiars and Pakshak WW's, I am very happy with the results. :)

Even megs water magnet we don't get here (australia). We have no WW whatsoever or PC's and limited stocks of clay. We have lots off wool, although the common megs lambwool washmitt we use is made in china

They are what I use. They work great,I can usually dry my car with just one.

I just got the PakShak WW's that were irregular. Man, those WW are simply incredible. Silk lined edges are always a plus. I looked them over for a while and cant find where they are defective at all.

If I recall if shipped via US Postal Service it's around $10 to ship to Australia from the US. The large envelope could probably hold 3-4 WW towels.
