Six Way LSP test

Todd@RUPES

Just a regular guy
I am going to do a six way LSP test on the hood of my car and give feed back and update bi weekly.

The hood will be polished out to perfection with Menzerna SIP, then 106ff then given a prepsol wipedown to ensure that is perfeclty clean.

The combatents-

Zaino Z5pro- will be applied for 2 coats using (zfx)

Ultima- will be applied for 2 coats

DeepFinish Deep Swax- will be applied for 2 coats

Meguiars #16- will be applied for 2 coats (I think it will be fun to see how a older paste wax stands up to the newest in resin and polymer technology

Zymol Concours Lets see if more (cost) is more. It should be fun to evalute the depth of this wax and how long it lasts to the sealants (and Meg's wax)

Any suggestions for number 6?

The hood will be washed weekly (with Meguiars NXT since it commonly available) and the car is parked outside.

I will be looking at inital appearance (gloss/depth/wetness) and trying to accurately gauge how the appearance holds up compared to the other LSP's

I will be looking at slickness and how long it lasts

Every two weeks I will update. I am planning on starting tomarrow, time permitting.

I would like to see DG 105 used x2 with the bonding agent ..like Z5 Pro being used with the ZFX...or get a little riskae and use the ZFX with the 105...

I would like to see jetseal in this test as it is my favorite sealant. Also, NXT is a very harsh soap so it may degrade the zymol quite quickly.

Acrylic Jett or Opti-Seal would be good additions, or Carnauba Moose if you want throw a liquid carnauba into the mix.

I would recommend OptiSeal or ClearSeal since you already have a wipe on walk away product in Ultima. Thanks for doing the test also!:2thumbs:

Just a side note- I've also heard NXT soap "can" leave a film behind after you've washed. Not sure what other soaps you may have access to.

You HAVE to use CS or OS to compete with Ultima is the WOWA category, preferably Opti-Seal, since you already have Z2.

Hrm, good test; however I think it will be important to note that this will be a documentation of slickness, not *looks*, however subjective that may be.
