Excellent work Josh! The gloss is outstanding.

I like these two:

Thanks, yea that first one with the seat back and the steering wheel in the background kind of has a simple classic feel to it....:2thumbs:

JoshVette- Great detail and write-up (per usual ;) ).

I'm struck by how nice it looks with the Z5! I've never been much of a Zaino fan, but I *am* a fan of good ss paint, and that is simply beautiful. Huh..Z5 is about the last thing I woulda thought I'd like on ss Guard's Red.

Oh, and I kinda like the way the owner wanted to keep the processes gentle rather than telling you to simply get it as good as possible. Bodes well for the car's future IMO.

Remember, no matter what I top it with it is going to look killer due to polishing the paint to perfection, so whether it be Z5 or P21S Carnuaba, it will look dynomite.

I put multi coats of Z5 for the durability aspect as I typically never use an LSP for looks, only for durability.

I could have taken those marks out with 3000 grit easy and was tempted to as well cause I can't stand seeing perfect paint with just a couple marks on it. The owner would have never known and I could have made a little more money, but he asked me not to so I tried to honor that. I think it was more that he wasn't sure if I could do it, but now that he's confident in my skills and abilities I think next time around we'll wetsand a couple spots on the car.

Stunning process on the Porsche Josh! Love the attention to detail and your write up too. Car is outrageous after your work!:drool::drool:

Thanks, it's a great color on that body, I'm really pleased with how nicely it turned out.

When the owner first told me it was SS paint my face lit up like a Christmas tree, I knew it was going to look great afterwards.....:woot2:

Looks absolutely flawless!!!

Am I the only one who thinks the older style instrument panel looks much better than the current one?

Personally I like the new interiors, but when it comes to exteriors I think this design is the best Porsche has come out with yet, I like this exterior a lot better then the new ones by far.:hifive:

Indeed an excellent detail and great write up too.

The red really looks very deep and wet. :bow:bow:bow:bow

Thanks, I don't post up too much these days, but when I get a show car process I like to take the time to talk about it.

It was great paint to work with, now I'll see if I can salvage these blood red pads.....

welll..... GREAT! I do not think that i need to say how much i love these cars! I absolutely adore them! I could detail 365 of these a year (i would want a lot longer then 24hrs to perfect one however) and i still wouldnt get tired of them! I love how well the ss paint turned out! i love the back of the seats!

I was thinking that leatherique was going to repair the seats a little more however.... makes me want to buy some leather masters...

Thanks, yea I was a little disapointed with the leatherique results after hearing so much good about it, but then again it was my first time to use it and could have been user error for sure.

I put it on heavy, let it sit in the sun for a couple hours, then a second coat, sun for another hour and soaked in overnight.....

I followed the directions and they did look darker when finished, but not softer at all, could be the German leather is just that way but I'm not sure. I'll try it again on an old Ferrari with hard hard dry skins, hopefully it will do better at softening them......

Of course.....:chuckle:

I've already fully polished the old Mondial and done the inside, but the skins were so hard and dry, I'm hoping I can restore them with a couple days of Leatherique. Hopefully it won't let me down this time.:nixweiss

Maybe put a black trash bag over them and use a hair dryer a little. The hotter you get the seats the better. I need to try it on my 77 911 seats... they are sooo bad!! I tryed to take them out but i cant get the socket to the bolts on the runner. I need a smaller wrench.

Josh, you always do stunning work!

I'll have to try that, thanks.:xyxthumbs

Awesome shots Josh, that Porsche is glowing. I personally think the 993's are the best looking 911's on the road. Seriously, the 993 is the coolest Porsche and after seeing your pictures I realize how bad I want one!

Also, for the Leatherquie, the most time you spend in the sun with it, the better, IME. 993 seats are not very soft from the factory, and kind of feel like vinyl, IMO.
