mrsullivan said:Hi. I know that this thread is old, but thought that I might refresh it and chime in. This Porsche is mine. A few things in no particular order --
1) thanks for all the nice comments about the car... there is a 993 cult out there that believes this was the best that Porsche made in modern years...the last of the air cooled car... many of them in this condition/mileage cost as much as the new ones. I have owned others, but this one is certainly special... everything on it, including the seats, is original/factory ordered/unmolested
2) I am really pleased with the work that Josh did, but more importantly with his integrity. When you give your prized car to someone who is going to take an orbital to it, you better trust them. Josh is right, I guess he could have done things to my car and I would not have known it (wasnt estatic to see that comment), but I believe that he is very honest and that means a lot to me.
3) The Leatherique didnt help the seats much, but it did a little. Porsche seats are firm/taut leather from the factory and after 11 yrs, I am not sure how much softness we could have expected. I am considering getting the seat covers re-done in NOS Porsche leather to factor specs. They arent in BAD shape, just not perfect like the rest of the car. Probably will be one of the last things I do down the road.
4) In terms of the price, it was obviously an expensive job. But there is a price for quality without excuses, and I feel that I got my money's worth. But maybe he will give me a little break on my next job![]()
