Product: Power Puff Multi-Purpose Handheld Sponge
Price & Price Per Ounce: $2.97 + tax
Manufacturer Claims: The PowerPuff's patented design gently scrubs the sides while scouring the bottom. Easily rinses clean and does not promote the growth of bacteria. Our NEW fast-drying, long lasting scrubbing sponge is ideal for mugs, carafes, cups, dishes, cookware, and more!
Packaging: Just a simple laminated paper tag that is easily removed. The acutal item is very sturdy and about 8" long.
Color/Scent/Viscosity: White plastic handle with blue rubber grips for easy handling. The yellow scrubber is VERY similar to a bug scrubber in texture and performance. The blue scouring pad on the bottom reminds me of a softer version of a scotchbrite pad.
How I used (as per instructions): No instructions on wheel cleaning here. I hosed down the wheel with cool water, sprayed Meguiar's Wheel Brightener cut 2:1 generously on the surface, allowed 2 minutes of dwell time, then proceeded to dip the Power Puff in a dilution of car wash and agitate the areas. Only a few quick motions were needed to easily wisk away the horrid brake dust.
Overall Thoughts: I love it.
For ~$3 you really can't beat it. I've tried the OXO and Meguiar's Spoke Brushes and didn't like them. I have done 11 sets of wheels to date and the brush nearly looks the same. I cut the yellow part slightly, twice, on brake caliper clips (my fault). It rinses so clean, that you can go right from scrubbing the wheel to cleaning the wells.
This product has easily replaced my bug scrubber for wheel/well cleaning duties. No more cut hands, no more chemicals wreaking havoc on your skin. Truly a great find, IMO.
Other Notes: Repurchase every 15-20 sets of wheels for an optimal cleaning experience.
