Reasonable price for David Fermani to Opti Coat a NEW car?

Did you do the black trim also? And your real name is Rasky? If so props to your parents for a cool *** name.

Yes, all trim, including the plastic piece around the wipers was coated...basically everything but the tires.

Real name is Chad, but most people call me Rasky as a shortened version of my last name. It's kind of a family nick name that has been passed down over the years. ;)

After the pic of the Shop that does all the tuning shops in SD I bumped around thier site......................oh brother, look at this page "Teflon" to the rescue.

High Tech Formula PAINT SEALANTS AND PAINT SEALANT - STATE OF THE ART CAR SALON IN SAN DIEGO.

No wonder the guy buffing in the one pic is so thin as what could the poor guy be being paid................ $245.00 for a "Sealant package" and that's inclusive gentlemen. The OP did not do these guys any favors posting thier name..................know this location well actually not to far from "Rightlook" where I bought my containment mat.

if you use enough heat for teflon to actually adhere to the car you would burn the paint off first.

I dont know the OP nor, nor did i say anything about the price being quoted. At one point in time werent you praising how good GLOSS IT prodcuts where? what happened there? Dont here you mentioning anything about them anymore? guess it was all hype? my point exactly

For your ability to remember what I said before you sure do not "Keep up with current threads" now do you? and I layed all of this out in finite detail here on this site and on DB..........as a matter of fact the thread kinda of went like this one......................huge level of views, mulitiple guys saying I concur etc.

This thread is like a Rugby scrum and you are at the bottom getting crushed, at what point do you say to yourself "Well maybe the battle and the war is lost" I mean come on now!!!. The OP is like "Take all the heat from me.............oh yeah".

99% of the people who use the product are going to say they love it because they want to be part of everyone else saying how good it is,, regardless if it worked any better than the previous product they were using. On one forum you will see everyone bashing a product and on another forum everyone is saying how good it is. How can that be? Its because people just follow what other people say.

What kind of 3rd grade logic is that?

Have you used the OptiCoat product? I'm guessing no, since it's one item that lives up to and surpasses the hype. And we're going on a couple of years now in the marketplace, with hundreds of pros and enthusiasts using the product and thousands of cars coated. Try the product before bashing it.

I have to agree. I'm a noob enthusiasts and before I purchased my 1st syringe of Opti-Coat 2.0 I kept on doing searches on forums for this product and see if it really was worth the 59.99 asking price.

@biggiepee: This is probably one of the best products on the market for people that wants something for daily drivers for the set it and forget it group. Not only that its very much good value! Don't believe me? The hypes been around since 2008 and this thing just plan works with ACTUAL reports from trusted people over the years

Oh, well its still a cool name, also thanks I was thinking about doing the trim or not. Now that's confirmed I think I'll do the whole car with OC2.0

Edit: 2.0

Seeing that this thread has gone viral, I might as well capitalize on it for my own benefit. (thread title updated) Another fail for the OP....

i did read the thread regarding gloss it. what i meant was at one point you and others were saying how good gloss it products were, which created a lot of hype about the products. Now you say the products arent good. its so easy to create hype for a product. Are gloss it products any good? if not is sure seems you thought they were before.

I think I have an idea as to the product/forum you're referring to, and correct me if I'm wrong, but the megs and menzerna products and opticoat are not of the products that have been "bashed." Sure, there are products out there that are hype, but I think you picked the wrong products to include in that mix.

The thing that really irritates me is when people are content to sit back and throw their two cents in on products they've never used or had any personal experience with. Instead, they cite the few negative comments that people have made and try to say that everyone else is wrong. In this case I would have to ask how exactly one would know that the person they're citing is using the product correctly?

I've used products that I like and products that I don't like, but I've experimented on my own and found a mix of products that work for me. I own low end products and I own high end products, I own the megs, menz, and optimum products in question, and I can honestly say that I don't own a product that I don't find myself reaching for regularly.

Wait....how dare you inject common sense to this "Lively debate errrr internet crushing"?, I cannot comment on Opti-coat as I have NOT used it much like you Biggiepee so time to finally stop and change course.............I mean BUDA exits and we get you coming in from the bullpen(Except the bases are loaded and your first pitch is zinging over the upperdeck.....the outfielder did not even move except to turn his head and mutter damn that ish is GONE!!!!).

Oh man... I have a couple dogs looking at my funny because I'm laughing by myself. I can read Bob's writing and hear him talking. I read Mike's comments and laugh and shake my head.

Thread went from serious question that I thought was legit, to a guy getting an answer he didn't like, to WOW it was all smoke and mirrors to begin with, to comedy fest.

Well just like you have not used the "Hyped products" in question..........you did not read very well. I stated that I liked SOME of the products and Rich used to get upset because I would not say I used the polishes..............so for your benefit I will repeat it again.

I liked the following...............

Leather polish,TRV,wheel gel, microfiber towels, and the QD which made the paint look nice but ruined my microfiber towels, in fact my write ups would have listed that I used "Non gloss-it product in the paint correction steps" I thought if he could improve those things the line could be very strong..........but alas my contention with GI was Rich and shenanigans(In my opinion of course) more than the products themselves..................so know that this is cleared up (Again) any questions?

Look your pants have been pulled down around your ankles................... :Scoreboard:

Damn.........are you a new "Signature detailer for Rich"???, good luck with that..............

Common dude, hook me up and throw my name in the title somewhere. :D

2,000 plus views.........Dave you cannot buy this kind of marketing, let this be a lesson to all who tread on this site...............if you lie or say something so a**inine or do not fact check ie: post something you know nothing about this will happen to you! with the quickness.

Now some will wring thier hands and say "Geez look at the arrogant detailers over there @ Autopia.org" well bad conduct needs to be corrected just like a marred finish and this kind of stuff is as I said before "A pandemic" like issue with the internet allowing anything to be said as fact because well it's online so it must be true......right.

Any site is a exchange of opinions and knowledge, but when you are pulling stuff from your lower intestine/colon area someone has to say "Alright chief this is not going to fly around here" so cut the s**t.

We are all laughing now but the OP's original intent was to malign Dave............endstop, this kind of stuff get's me going "Right now" but you know what truth prevailed quickly this time.........sometimes it takes longer than I want but it always comes out....my continued .02$.
