Questions on Zaino

That's what I'm talking about...

WHAT are you talking about? There's documentation on how to use the system to it's fullest potential.

Are you going to ignore my other questions? :bigups

blas·phe·my [blas-fuh-mee]

1. impious utterance or action concerning God or sacred things.

2. Judaism.

a. an act of cursing or reviling God.

b. pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH) in the original, now forbidden manner instead of using a substitute pronunciation such as Adonai.

3. Theology. the crime of assuming to oneself the rights or qualities of God.

4. irreverent behavior toward anything held sacred, priceless, etc.: He uttered blasphemies against life itself.

God, Sal, whatever...

How can something be "optically perfect", have a UV-40 sunscreen, and be dyed pink? Sorry, I just don't take everything said on the Zaino site as pure fact.

I asked them earlier in a post. Where's Duragloss's "Clear Seal", and their Catalyst (ZFX)? Did Zaino just magically concoct those in the kitchen? Is it not entirely possible Zaino has their own Chemists and there are just similarities between brands?

I don't know, honestly. I'm asking. I do have some Duragloss 105 (Maybe like Z5 then?) and 601 (Bonding Agent, ALA Z1 I guess). I'll try those when I've got some free time and post any similarities I see.

I don't have an answer for you there. I know there are other products on the market that has dyes that 'fade' after use.

Heck, Optimum No Rinse is as blue as a smurf but if you leave it around UV light long enough it turns clear or in some cases brown.

There isn't total overlap of the product lines. I don't think Duragloss has a clay bar either. That really doesn't prove or disprove anything, though. I know I have no hard proof that Duragloss manufacturers stuff for Zaino, BUT if they don't, the Zaino products are almost direct copies of the Duragloss products. Either way, to me they are still "tweaked Duragloss products" regardless of whether they are made by Duragloss or are just knock-offs.

Well if they are knock-offs I'd think Duragloss would be in their right to sue. Though when I think of the term Knock-off I think of a great item, say a Tiffany Vase and having a knockoff of it made. IE lesser quality. Of course that is in the eye of the beholder. But for me wouldn't Duragloss be the Zaino knockoff? ;)

Sue based on what? I don't know that there is a patent infringement issue. Anyway, Duragloss has been around a lot longer than Zaino. In general, where there are differences, Zaino seems slightly better.

This thread is representative of what I like the least about Zaino--a lot of misinformation and marketing crap. Z2 is just fine by itself. It can be used on any clean surface or over most any other sealant. It might be true that it will last longer with ZFX, but I've seen 6+ months out of non-ZFX, non-ZAIO applications. That's in 100% outside vehicles, too. FYI--Z2 can be layered over and under Werkstat and Klasse without problems.

Couldn't agree more. Z5 seems to play well with Optimum Poli-Seal too, using Z6 to remove OPS. ZAIO + 1 layer of Z5 (no ZFX) should give 5-6 months of durability easily.

Not knocking Duragloss but if you can't tell the difference between Z2pro and Duragloss 111 you need to book an apointment at an optometrist (eye doctor):chuckle:

I'm pretty sure the dye wipes away. I've never seen a picture of a white car with Z2pro looking pink:bolt
