Poorboy's Wheel Sealant!

2-3 coats every 3-4 months would be fine. One would get you by for a good time though. You can add as many coats as you desire but anything over 3 would be overkill, IMO

i have the first coat of this stuff sitting on my wheels now. the directions dont give a cure time, just wipe on wipe off, but i figure ill let it sit a few minutes, considering that i let the sealant i use on my car's paint sit for 20 minutes before removing.

how long do you guys let it sit?

I just let it sit about 3-4 minutes. I've found that it doesn't seem to help by waiting extra time.

yes, waiting doesn't really do much, but keeping them dry for a day or two will certainly help longevity :)

then go out and put a second coat on ;)
i did three on each.

i applied on one, applied on the other, wiped down the first & reapplied, wiped down the second & reapplied, and so on.

didnt have enough light to scrub down the rear wheels today. hope no one laughs at my little one with the clean front wheels and filthy rears.

just feel lucky that you don't live in an area where salt and sand is used on the roads all winter :) three coats will get you well into the summer :dnaughty

+2 for PB Wheel Sealant! It made my painted wheels bright and shiney like no other.

The wheel looks good. Took my front pair off, cleaned and polished them both and put three layers of PB sealant on the front and back of the rims. As soon as I finish my rim repairs on the rear wheels I'm going to update my post pertaining to rim repair. Check out what I've done to them. The paint match up was the hardest part to do. Since the wheels are coated I could not shine them up like mirrors but they look good. May use a product called alumaloy on the rims to repair them if I don't like the match up but will post what I've done anyway.

Hopefully I will be able to get the work completed this weekend since the wife and kids will be out of town.

Get you a gallon of Amazing roll of when you decide to clean the back of your rims it will make things so much easier. Make sure that you use a good stiff bristled brush on them and you will see how the dirt just foams up for easy removal. Rubbing with a rag did ok but using a brush for tight spaces worked much better.

Hi guy's, I am looking for a "Wheel & Tire" cleaner/degreaser in bulk form for my buisness. IYO's what would be the best bang for my buck in a 5 gallon purchace, plus let's not leave most effective.

Thanks.

After reading all the HYPE on this weheel sealant I fgured I'd order some. Quick question though, what should the consistancy be of the sealant. I know this stuff was designed to handle the heat of the brakes but it seems a lot thinner than say "Natty's". Is this right?
