Pinnacle Souverän paste wax?

I was thinking about trying Souveran paste was $59.99 @ AG.

Is this wax worth it? Should I try something differ?

I have never spent over 30 bucks for a sealant or wax. most my waxes and sealants were 8-20 bucks.

Will this wax put a smile on my face? or will I end up feeling like :grrr for the money?

I haven't tried the paste, but am currently using the Liquid Souveran and it looks awesome after a fresh wax. I've heard the paste is even better.

Definitely not real long lasting, but then what Carnauba is?

I've also heard that this is really good and it's not very expensive at all.

S100 Carnauba Wax

I ordered some as soon as it went on sale. I haven't had a chance to try it. I ordered some Signature Series II as well.

Just like what they said above. If you are just wanting the wax then I have a thread with it for sale for $50 shipped.

I will be placing a large order! Larger then I expected. When I receive this package or packages I'll Have to :hide: for awhile.

Eddie I use S100 and like it very much, that's what I mean will I notice a 60 dollar difference? I am really not one for those expensive products, But have an itch to try souveran.

In terms of S100 vs Souveran...I think you probably won't notice too much of a difference in appearance, but the Souveran will probably be a little more durable than the S100. I have both, and the Souveran lasts a little lonnger.

It definitely depends on the color of the car, that's for sure. Darker colors, such as midnight blue, and black along with Red look great! As for durability, well, it's not too durable but then again, most of the cars I put it on get waxed at least every 4-6 weeks.

Seems to be a common question about Souveran. Is it worth it? If you have a dark color (green, blue, black, red, maroon, dark grey) and you're seeking rich depth and that magic "glow" that souveran is known for...........then hell yeah!! It's the oils contained in Souveran that set it apart from the rest. To me, Souveran has always been about the "look" and not about durability. Expect 4-6 weeks of optimum looks and moderate durability. (when your vehicle is kept out of rain/snow) Souveran looks stunning on my black paint. If you're looking for a jaw dropping rich-wet look, with plenty of depth and wetness, then prep your paint with a good polish, glaze with RMG (or pink moose) and follow that with 2 layers of Souveran. (Danase Wet Glaze, CG EZ Creme Glaze, or CG Wet Mirror Finish can be used in place of the RMG if desired.) Wash weekly (or when needed) with ONR, and follow your wash with a quality QD spray. You can enhance Souveran's durability by using a QD with carnauba in it. Crystal Mist or Sonus Carnauba Spritz work very well. There's even a Souveran Spray Wax out now, which can boost your layers of Souveran. So many choices........So little time!

Are there other carnauba waxes on the market that are more cost effective/cheaper than Souveran? Yep. Sure are. But IMHO, there has yet to be a paste wax that duplicates it's looks and final finish. S100/P21S, Natty's Blue/Red, M26, Max Wax, Trade Secret, Pin Sig Series, Pink Wax etc. etc. all produce different looks when compared to Souveran. At least to my eyes on black paint. The one paste wax that I've found to be pretty damn close to Souveran in the looks department would be CG's Pete's 53. (It almost seems like it's CG"s answer to Souveran. Just my opinion.)

Souveran works well on lighter colors as well. I used it for years on my silver car to good effect.

That's a great point, and one that's overlooked when talking about Souveran! Souveran looks tremendous on white, as well. :bigups

I can't tell you. I haven't used the S100 or the Souveran Paste.

All I can tell you is that the Liquid Souveran looks fantastic. It leaves an incredibly wet reflective shine. Very slick to the touch. For lack of a better comparison, my car looks like it's been Armor All'd when it has a fresh coat, and this is a '95 with original paint. It's hard to imagine that the paste wax could be even better, but I've heard that it is.

If you have an itch to try it and you're willing to spend $60, I'd give it a shot. I'm confident it's a great product based on the results I've gotten with the liquid version. I'm sure it will leave a fantastic finish. So, the only real questions are whether it's a $60 finish and whether you'll like it better than S100. Only you can answer that, as it's a personaly thing. But hey, if you ever wanted to try it, $60 on sale is better than $80 any day :-)

A couple other things to consider. I believe that the Souveran attracts/holds dust more than some other products I've used. I've heard that S100 doesn't do that. So, while it looks terrific when fresh, you may find that you need to wash more often when you're using it.

Another consideration is, I think the Souveran(and most Carnaubas for that matter) have the greatest effect on dark colors, so the color of your car may effect the WOW factor that you experience.

I think you can buy CG Pete's 53 or 50/50 and get the same look as souvern and still save a few bucks. I compared these waxes several times and I think it is a toss up

++++1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes souveran work in white in black and athor solid color but not for metalic

I agree with maxi, it seemed to mute the flake a bit on a dark blue metallic for me but other than that with RMG then PS it was  Expensive yes (try almost 100 bucks up here!) but I reserve it just for show cars. P21S/S100 does give a great look for its price, but I think Souveran has that little bit extra that could be worth it. Can you get a sample to try out?
