Pinnacle Souverän paste wax?

Do you guys let it cure ? Or WOWO.

I generally do 2 panels, come back to buff off 1st panel, then wax 3rd panel, buff 2nd panel, etc.

Due to it's oily nature.....dunno if there is any difference letting Souveran cure longer than needed

I apply it to the whole car and come back and buff it off. That said its not hot or in the sun where i am so that might be a factor for you.

Dont for get my OS idea if you need more protection.

Thanks Geoff, I am going to use your idea on a black Avalon that I have an appointment for. The guy is a nuba fanatic and he loves PS. Problem is that with winter approaching I do not want to break his heart with Collinite 476s. Using your idea I hopefully can give him the best of both worlds until spring time.

well AG (Autogeek) raised there price back to $79) I missed there thanksgiving 15% off, but they have free shipping this weekend only. I'm don't know what to order to many products to try.

per the instructions and the AG forum you should not allow Souveran to dry. It is meant to be wiped off while damp going panel by panel.

this is the best paste wax at its or higher price IMO including the Estate offerings from Zymol like Ital, Concours, Glasur etc. Souveran is simply awesome on yellows too. It offers a glow that is all its own. :2thumbs:

I agree with maxi, it seemed to mute the flake a bit on a dark blue metallic for me but other than that with RMG then PS it was  Expensive yes (try almost 100 bucks up here!) but I reserve it just for show cars. P21S/S100 does give a great look for its price, but I think Souveran has that little bit extra that could be worth it. Can you get a sample to try out?

yes 99 blackSE p21s give y great shine wettest looking but maybe show some orange peel this not wax fault but paint fault orange peel show more when apply more than 2x wax , , tried pinnacle souveran ,p21, zymol concourse and destiny in my black charger ican say _

zymol destiny : best clearity with deep color . but dont apply more than 2 coat

zymol concourse :like PS but not wet-looking ,not mute metalic ,best durability more than destiny .

p21s: high gloos like glass , bright shine ,not rich color, samilier zymol destiny but more wetter.

pinnacle souveran :good wax but ithink not for this wax ,its great wax for stander colour.

my rank#

1 # p21s : easy on -off best wettest looking.

2# zymol destiny : best clarlity but take so long time , the shine like some sealeant and liqued wax.

3-z concourse : make car darker , with best protiction.

I've used Souveran since forever, good stuff if you don't mind the durability and the way it can get a bit tacky as it ages. It's the only wax I really like on the Jag's single stage metallic lacquer. I'd always heard that if you let it dry you'd need a belt sander to get it off, and I took that warning to heart. Besides, the label says to W-O-W-O, right?

So I did the W-O-W-O with it for many years, but, after a discussion with Mike Phillips (who'd been discussing the topic with a Meguiar's chemist), I experimented with letting my Souveran set up. As long as I applied it nice and thin, it buffed off quite easily and I got better durability. I can't say that I noticed and appearance differences, but I seemed to get a slightly "harder" coating of wax. Since then I've been letting it set up, sometimes for as long as an hour, and I've never had a problem.

Note that I work it a *little* bit when I apply it, just enough to ensure that I'm getting a good uniform application accomplished before letting it dry; I can imagine that a less aggressive application could possibly be less uniform and that the immediate wipe-off would even it out so that it wouldn't matter. So it's probably a good idea to be a little more careful about how evenly you apply it if you're gonna let it set up.

Hi Acc.... have you ever applied with a PC? I've been doing that with my go-to liquid waxes and it works fine.

Never tried it with Souveran, but I'd expect it to work fine. Heh heh, it's about the *only* paste wax I've never tried by machine, have to give it a go some time.
