I'm getting a little concerned about my order too. I wish someone would just e-mail me to let me know it's on the way or at least will be shipping soon.

I have only placed a couple of orders with PAC, but I don't have any problem with them. On the 26th, I placed an order under $100, and was not charged shipping. If you looked at the site at that time, there was an offer up for free shipping, but with an end date of 6/20. I placed my order, no shipping charges were added, which surprised me. On the 27th, I rec'd an email from Mike, stating they were out of one item, and that there was an error with the shipping, which should have been charged. I was given the opportunity to either cancel the order, or pay the net difference (a very small amount) for shipping. Since the items I ordered were 25% off, I gladly paid the additional for shipping, for which I rec'd a PayPal invoice today.
Remember, they are operating with computer problems, and are likely short staffed at this time. Likely they are also dealing with an unusually high order volume.
Under the circumstances, I am sure some errors will occur, But I believe they are doing their best in a difficult situation.
I have every confidence that all orders will be filled to the best of their ability.
I am certain they are not out to cheat anyone, but I am also sure that mistakes can occur. I am also sure they will make things right. From what I see, they have been an honorable business for many years, and I see no reason that would change at this time.

I made a few posts regarding my order and got jumped on so I am not saying a word otherwise. But I would like to say that I never thought or claimed they were out to take my money. I was merely curious because my second order placed hit my bank with no mention from anyone of my first order. I simply wanted to know if it is being filled so I can look elsewhere for stuff I need. Frankly, I still would like to know what is up with that order. I am sure they are busy but this vendor was the sole provider of a pad that I ordered.

Period.

It would be my guess (and only a guess) that your first order is lost in computer land, since it has not hit your bank account yet. I agree that it would be great if you could get some confirmation of that. No offense intended toward you or anyone else. I am sure there are issues going on that no one knows about yet, but I do believe they are doing the best they can. I work in a retail environment, and have seen business closings. Things can get pretty confusing at times.

Im sorry you guys didnt get free shipping when it was expected .

All I can say is I beleive it was most likely an honest error with all thats going on . I know it still sucks but hopefully you will either be refunded or compensated in some way.

PAc still rocks my world.

The big problem is not really about the free shipping, its about PAC charging the people without telling them... That's dirty business.

When they extended the sale I placed another order. :money: That order is posted on my account. Still no first order. I guess I need to find new pads. I'll just watch a few of Street Dreams' posts and buy what he has.:notworthy:

BTW, I just searched my email and found 46 orders placed with PAC over the years. Did I trust them? Of course. Will I miss them? Of course. OMG!

Wow, I just read this thread and the thread on Autogeek and am very sad that this is happening.

In all fairness I feel that many of you have been extremely patient and understanding of the situation, even those of you have (rightfully) voiced a complaint on this thread and others. I certainly can appreciate your compliments, patience, and your rights to voice your concerns.

I truly (TRULY) wish I could be of more of assistance for several reasons. Most importantly so that many of you who have chosen to give your hard earned money to PAC so could be treated in a way you find fair. PAC was generally known for having great customer service (although I am sure that not everything went perfectly all of the time) and it is a shame that many feel that the standard is not being upheld.

The second reason, is because while I am no longer employed there, some of the people who are killing themselves in the warehouse are my friends, and I know their character. It frankly is hard to see some people question the integrity of these people but I understand the frustration completely. If I were in your shoes I would feel the same way.

As it has been stated, the servers were struck with lightening, which caused huge problems with the way orders were processed, handled, shipped, etc. IF PAC wasn't closing this problem would have likely been fixed (although my understanding is the fix was expensive). Given that PAC is closing and the capital required to fix the problem is no longer there, the remaining crew at PAC has to process all orders manually. Again it is my understanding that this includes downloading the orders, processing the credit cards, inputting the orders manually, and checking the orders out at the time of shipping. The inventory control is done through the server; there is no longer a way to track the inventory until it is checked out just prior to shipping.

I have forwarded all the questions I have to the appropriate people and tried to help when I can. I am really sorry that I cannot provide more info and have no power to fix anything, but I hope my reply can at least ease some of the anger/disappointed/insulted feeling that many of you have a right to.

Todd, I just saw the one on AG. I didn't know it was that bad. Haven't been there in a few days.

Me from AG:

I started in detailing at AG and switched to PAC for the BF line. They are honestly great people and have provided me with years of hometown style service. I liked the mom and pop environment. I am really sad to see them go. The irony is before I knew they were closing I placed an order with AG which should arrive today. I am trying out a new product that PAC didn?t have an equivalent for. I hope I like it. I need another go-to store. I also hope the service here at AG rivals PAC. I?ll be spending lots of time here if that is the case. I am seriously sad to see PAC close.

My Point: I'm not trash talking. I'm just a bit frustrated. If I knew the order was lost I would place it again...no big. I know they have issues to deal with that I don't understand. Thanks for the explanations you have given. I know it must be tough to see this happen to your friends.

I don't think anybody is trash talking and I can objectively see why people are becoming frustrated. It is difficult to see this happen to know only friends that I have had the pleasure of working with but also customers (old and new).

I also don't want to come across as giving excuses or begging for forgiveness. I can only pass on what I know and can vouch for the intentions of the crew at PAC who is putting in super long days trying to get orders out as quickly as possible.

I want to take a second and thank Todd for responding to as many threads as he has. You don't even work there anymore and it seems that you are willing to try and settle people down more than the current employees. I know they are your friends, and I'm sure they are working hard. I don't think anyone is saying they aren't good people, or aren't trying their best. However, and that?s a BIG however, to let things go like this for as long as they have is just crazy. I'm sure they are working hard all day long, but how long does it really take for one of them to get on the forum and make some comments? I think it would have helped a lot just to hear from someone that was still working there as to what was going on. I mean Angelo had time to post another thread about the sale being extended, but no time to respond to some serious customer concerns....

I'm pleased that I started this thread, and I'm disappointed over the AG thread, but not surprised.

I'm glad I don't drink the AG kool-aid.

Buddy, I think you are having trouble understanding what is going on. No one is saying anything about AG, or what they do. God knows they have their problems too. I think you just need to stop blindly defending PAC from attacks that aren't there. Customer concerns/complaints don't mean people are hating on PAC or the people that work there. Lots of people gave PAC their hard earned money, and would just like a bit of communication. People like you starting threads like this do nothing but make people even more upset about the situation.

Go back to page one of my thread about patience and tell me how that should upset anyone.

Comprehend it and you'll realize that patience is the best practice, not venting.

Todd, thank you so much for your response and effort. While that does nothing in regards to the money that was removed from my account without my consent (not your fault or problem I know) it does show once again the effort you make and what an ambassador you are for this site. Not sure if I have ever thanked you for your contributions. You write the most aesthetically pleasing and graphically complete articles I've seen and I truly appreciate your efforts. I wish you and Angelo much more success in the future.

I'm glad I don't drink the AG kool-aid.
Some people prefer grape and you prefer cherry... No offense but money was taken from my account without my consent and without notifying me. I have every right to be a lot more irritated than I am letting on... And no, I haven't posted anything about it on a thread other than this one or at any other site. However, since absolutely nothing has been done to return my money to me or even contact me... I have every right to post it anywhere I want to... I just haven't decided to do so. Dave is right, you telling people they don't have a right to be irritated that money is taken from their account without there permission is very frustrating... Patient? I don't understand why you are getting involved with this. If your experience is good then I am very happy for you (sincerely) however you don't know what others have experienced.

Ok so I went back to your original post to make sure I wasn't being crazy, and I wasn't.

After so many years of doing business with PAC, patience at this time is the best measure of appreciation.

There are too many concerns about either not getting product or losing money.
This is what set me off. You can't tell me there are "too many concerns". When it comes to a place taking money without telling people, or taking money for products and not communicating when the products will be shipped a customer has every right to get upset. I don't know why you have some blind allegiance to PAC, but it is retarded. They are a business, this is business...do you go and talk trash to people that complain at WalMart?
If you've trusted PAC all these years, it doesn't make sense to lose your trust today. PAC has never failed to conduct business with fairness and honesty.
I in fact have not trust PAC all these years. This is my second order from them. Don't tell me how I should feel when it seems like I am getting screwed over by a company. Nothing about the way this sale has gone has be honest or fair. Some people are getting contacted about shipping and some are just getting charged without being told. That doesn't sound honest or fair to me. It sound shady and lazy.
Please, be patient.

Allegiance to the very end is the true measure of character and integrity.
Again, having allegiance to a store is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard of. I'm sure the people that work at PAC are nice, but I can ASSURE you that PAC as a company could not care less about an individual customer. It's impossible for a company that big to care about every single customer. Why do you have such an allegiance to them when they don't to you?

So, chill out fella. You aren't doing anything but getting people more upset.
