Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine REVIEW

Has anyone tried to use this as a " Spray and Wipe" product?

Thanks

I've mixed up a 32oz of Opt. QEW for QD (during polishing) at it works very well. A gallon of this product will go A LONG WAY. I've been using it for almost 4 months and like it a lot. I think it's a time saver if you're planning to polish a customers car and want to do a quick wash.

For general up keep on my cars between polishing, I don't like any QEW product.

What ratio?

Works as good as S&W?

I think the post was asking is why are people not calling QEW by it's name. instead people are using xxx instead. I know I used xxx instead because everybody knows what I am comparing the new wash to and I feel if you keep using the name it sounds like we are bashing QEW :nomore: . I love QEW and will make this offer. anybody that has extra that they do not want shoot me a PM. will trade or buy it from you, this offer also applies to Z2pro , Z6 or Z7. so far no takers on the Zaino. seems like so many people use it but nobody has any extra... maybe the Zaino fairy snatched it up ?????? :spit:

hmmm I have been MIA for a while and am interested in these new types of products. Can you guys explain how you wash with these? How do you rinse the dirt off the mitt to prevent swirls? How do you wash the wheels/tires/etc. I would love to be able to wash the car with no hose and 1 or 2 buckets just in my garage.

You should be able to find some good reading here:

looks simple enough... so is everyone saying this new optimum stuff is better than QEW?

Well, everyone seems to think so. I believe the two products are the same in concept and although I have not used the Optimum, I am pleased with Protectant's QEW. Since I have not used them both I can't compare but when I do I will be looking first and foremost for cleaning ability. I use the presoak pressure sprayer method followed by the two bucket method. I intend to do the same with the Optimum.

The only real difference I am hearing between the two products is that the Optimum seems to be slicker, not that it cleans any better or is that much easier to use. I have always included in my QEW bucket a few ounces of either Poorboys W&S or some QD. That gives me a little more lubrication. But if that is the only thing I find different between the two products I will buy based on price and availability (frankly, I have not yet looked at the Optimum Rinse's price, to compare to the price of QEW).

I believe it's 4-6oz per 32oz of QD mix. The ratio was on a sample that I received from Optimum, but I don't have access to it at the moment.

I have used both products and let me say that the paint is slicker and while you are washing their is a more gliding effect ( less chance of marring ???? ) I also noticed that the car dried quicker , streak free with less use of a MF. to * me * the paint looked wetter after the Optimum no rinse wash. just my two cents take it for what it's worth.

Got to try the new Optimum rinse free wash yesterday and must say I was quite pleased. the water seemed to be conditioned and slicker better than the brand XXX. also noticed it seemed to dry faster as well. the slicker finish was a nice bonus as well. I used 1.5 ounces of wash to 1.5 gallons of water. question for everybody. the back of the gallon jug states to use 1 oz of solution for 2 gallons of water as a rinse free wash ,has anybody tried it at that ratio ?

I wondering the same above question? Anyone use 1oz of solution for 2 gallons of water without problems?

At this point, to play safe, 1 oz for 1 gallon of water for wash.

That would be a good bet, I just asked that question to see if anybody went to the extreme. I know I will not.

Agree. Even 1 oz to 1 gallon of H2o for wash. It will last 128 times wash (gallon size) which cost about 25cents eash wash. I think paying extra 17cents for peace of mind is good insurance against marring.

Yes indeed I ended up with some marring using this stuff yesterday. for whatever reason my chenille mitt was not releasing dirt properly :angry . time to change up my mitt or go to MF :idea

Well, It seems MF will not release dirt that well. My favoriate is sheep skin wash mitt.

If you use MF's, use SEVERAL. I use around 4 or more.

I have 4 deep pile set aside for today. this will be my test. just can not figure out why my mitt went downhill. I used it 4 days before on black and there were no issues . I also have a new chenille mitt and I can compare them directly. will have to grab a Euro soon I have a feeling.

In regards to the No Rinse "smell".....David doesn't believe in adding anything to his products that don't serve a direct purpose. If a smell enahncer would benefit the working ability of the No Rince then David would add it.
