Used both quite a bit and I agree. No comparison. You're talking Chevy vs. Ferrari here (mass vs. boutique).

BlueLibby04 said:There have been a couple threads on MOL about the differences between #21v2 and NXTv2. Unless someone isnt clear on the differences, they said they are pretty much the same other being able to apply #21v2 with a rotary. If thats the case then its just stuck in everyones head that nxtv2 doesnt last as long as other products.
So - the car hasn't been washed for three weeks, parked at a beach at the weekend where it is blasted with salt air straight off the sea so fair to say that the paint was pretty manky. Nothing was beading water on this, as paint which is dirty will not bead, simple fact, as the water tension required is destroyed. But what I found a real eye opener was this comparison:

Zaino on the right, NXT 2.0 on the left. On dirty unwashed paint, the effect of the Zaino sealent is still very clear over that of the NXT 2.0 with clear protection evident where as on the left you'd be forgiven for thinking nothing is there... The Zaino is not beading, but it is dispersing the water very effectively over another sealent which was commented on in the past for offering good beading. Both sealent layers here are 5 weeks old.
I am hazarding a guess that this water behaviour exhibited by the Zaino (and I should point out here that on another test panel, Bilt Hamber Autobalm provides quite a similar water dispersal effect and also shares the loose flat beading properties) is contributing to the fact that the Zaino treated side of the car is staying cleaner looking over a longer period of time as the dirt is less able to stick to it. Just a hypothesis here but one I thought would be interesting to share

God77 said:Hi, What about Duragloss 105? Anyone used it compared to NXT2.0, zaino? Some said that one is a Zaino with half the price? Is that true?
Scottwax said:I've found Duragloss and Zaino products to be very similar, right down to the warning label about alphatic hydrocarbons and recommending 100% cotton towels for removal.

User Name said:Well, I see it entirely different (although I've only ever used Zaino once) and NXT 2.0 is my wax of choice.
The looks are similar (as I don't think most can discern the difference between most LSP's). I've had NXT 2.0 on my ride for as long as 12-16 weeks without need to reapply.
Of course, durability cannot be viewed in a vacuum as it hinges on the environment the car is exposed to as well (ie: daily driver vs. garage queen). The only thing you get with Zaino is LESS long term slickness and a lighter wallet.
Oh and someone mentioned Collinite.... I'm in the middle of a 9 wax test right now, and Collinite 845 and NXT 2.0 are the clear winners so far. I'm not sure how the Collinite will last, but right now (after three weeks) it has the slickest surface, while the most expense wax in the test Victoria Wax Concours Red is certainly the worst.
