My Favorite New Wax (The Japanese Souveran)

Bence, the fact that you haven't used p21s or Natty's says it all, so now I get it. I applied the pink very thin. After you give either Natty's or p21s a try you'll understand, these products wipe on and off easier than water. I guess I'm spoiled, but when you ease something as easy as Natty's or GPEC, it's hard to change back.

...but I've used Mothers Cali Gold carnauba, Z2Pro, and countless other absolutely zero-effort products. I know what I am talking about; for me it is easy when the weight of the towel is enough to remove the residue.

Nevertheless, the Natty's and the P21S must be good products as well.

Well it looks like I bought the last tin of Soft99 Authentic Excellent in the USA. I got it from auto freak in NJ. They andall their stores and warehouse are out. I put a 1/2 coat on Pin Souveran and they compare fairly equal. NOW I WISH I COULD GET ANOTHER CAN.

Now that I've got your approval of the wax MDRX8, it must be good :)! Now I'm on a serious hunt for this product....

I'd always appreciate it if anyone ever felt generous in buying another to sell to me ;) Thanks!!

I went to the Auto Freak in San Francisco and they had one Authentic Premium there. They also had a Authentic Gold and a bunch of other Japanese waxes.

The Premium is $24.99 + tax. If anyone wants it, I can pick it up for them and mail it or something. I know sometimes we're spoiled on the west coast when it comes to Japanese imported products. There was only one there so let me know! It'd be great if some of the more experienced members can do a review on it!

ZK,

First off, thanks! It's appreciated that you're offering any of us the purchase. I'd love to take you up on the offer and would be more than happy to help also pay for your time and effort for helping out.

Thanks again and hope to give Premium a shot out to see its comparison with similar waxes in its price range. I'll shoot you a PM to see if you're able to still pick it up for me. :thx

Cheers,

GMCloud

I was at Super Autobacs yesterday picking up some air fresheners and thought I'd take a look at the Japanese waxes and check out the Soft99 Authentic Premium. No luck, the shelf where this stuff was located was empty. Looks like someone on here might have cleaned them out, LOL.

BTW, all the other Soft99 waxes were well stocked.

Yeah it seems that the word got out on the Premium line; it's too bad that there is no place I've found to date that sells Soft99 here in IL :( You Cali guys make me a bit jealous!

I went to the Autofreak in San Francisco the other day. THere was two left on the sheft. It was 27 bucks after taxes. I tried it today. THe finish reminds of something between s100 and natty's blue. It is reflective as s100 but a little bit wetter...but not as wet as natty's blue. Authentic Premium seemed to be create a much deeper finish than both s100 and natty's blue. Initially i applied it to the hood, fender and door panel and then proceeded to remove the wax. It was PITA to remove. So after that i just applied it to two panels and removed it before it hazed. It was a breeze after that. Overall I think it is a good wax for anyone who wants a hybrid of s100 + natty's blue

Interesting info and thanks for the review; I think that with those attributes though that it characteristic of Souveran in respects to depth and gloss. S100 has always been deemed as the level below Souveran for clean, good gloss and deep while NB has more wetness but less depth; I would think that this combo for Premium would make it simlar to that of Trade Secret or a level between (S100 and NB) and Souveran? Always cool to hear comparisons since I'm hoping for a good wax and this seems to be a hot one

Edit: One thing I'm curious on is how clean the reflections are; would you place it in the level of S100 or more towards Souveran if you've tried it? :thx

You're the one who got the other one then! There was one box when I saw it. Hopefully it's still there this weekend. :lol

Hmm...the only two waxes that i ever tried are s100 and natty's blue so i have no comparison between souveran...but in respects to reflections...the premium seems to not be reflective as s100 i think it gives some of that up for the deeper finish

if anyone plans on getting a jar at autobacs soon, don't hold your breath. i talked to a lady on the phone and she said they get the japanese waxes around every 6 months. :nixweiss :aww:

I just went by and picked up a Authentic Premium for GMCloud27. Looks like they got one more, there was two there (one now).

Here's a picture of the one I got:

I just came from SoCal this weekend and went to Super Autobacs but I don't remember seeing the Authentic stuff. I'm going down this coming weekend again to visit some more family. I'll be sure to stop by and update what their stock looks like.

I tried Authentic Premium wax. Started by polishing hood with Men. PO85RD. Nice clean finish. Aplied Authentic Premium one side and Pin. Sourveran other. I liked the Sov. better on "my" car. Others may have different results. I also tried their Premium Wax. PS just has some kind of ingredient no other wax has. I tried Vict., Sissol, Zymol Conc., Japon, etc., etc, no other compares to PS on "MY" car.
