Menzerna FMJ

For wash, try 1Z Perls! Adds more polymer protection. Really nice stuff! Watch as the water flows off! It's just wack! Nice bottle too!!

I've been testing/trying the 1Z Lackfinish, cut 1:1 with distilled water and find it a great QD for sealer. Or you can use Z6 cut 1:1 as well.

Megs LT (Last Touch) has the "good silicones" in it, so it really bring up the gloss.

Testing out the formula for Ceramiclear type finishes. And you thought your clearcoat is hard??? HA!

Yikes,

And there's already at least one shallow scratch I saw in poor garage lighting in that 3 week old SL 55 AMG I'll be working on:shocked: If it's that difficult to work with, I have no clue what I'm going to do:rolleyes:

BillD,

You're gonna need the Menzerna designed for it if it's a good scratch, otherwise, be prepaired to wear that pad down to a nub!:p

I have to look at the product guide to tell you which one it is as all product in storage area at shop. Like gold this stuff.

Jut curious, What QD are you guys using with FMJ? If I'm gonna jump from zaino I need to replace car wash, QD and sealant. Thanks

I read somewhere that someone is using Four Star UGE. That would make sense since UGE is designed for polymer sealants.

This thread is starting to sound like NXT/WG all over again. Please tone down the rhetoric. I'm sure this product is not gawd's gift to detailing. Let's try and be more subjective and critical.

No flame intended. Happy detailing!

Bill. :up

you mean rhetoric like your signature? No flame intended. I was just asking about a product and the associated products people use. I expected this kind of answer.

My comment wasn't directed at you, or anyone in particular. All I'm saying is that I can feel the 'FMJ hype machine' picking up steam, just like the NXT and WG hype machines. Let's pull back and look at this product with a more critical eye.

re: my sig - I wrote that for a reason. If you've been around the boards the last little while you'd know what it is.

Bill. :) :up

I agree Bill, although it sounds like a notable product, time will tell how it really stacks up to the established "blue blood" sealants

Ditto!

I am using it and I love it... goes great with FP and AIO..plus I feel it is very durable... I use it on my G but she is a garage queen and never gets out in the harsh elements. It is soooo easy to put on and wipe off and the slickest yet... yummy! :xyxthumbs

I bought the whole care care kit and it was a great deal for all the Menzerna products and applicators...

I really wasn't flaming you. :D I couldn't resist though. After reading the reviews of the product I was very interested myself. And it has been a while since I posted. I have been lurking for a while.

Try the product, very difficult to be critical about it, as seen in these reviews. I feel the reviews on this product are right on the money.

Deanski says, "Once you learn how to work with it, Menzerna is one of the finest polishes out in the market..."

What are some of the challenges working the polishes?

Jason

Not sure that will work well, if a acrylic finish will lay over FMJ's polymer finish. I'm going to try lack finish.

Menzerna made their polishes for OEM line, not detailing.

What this means is that the polishes work quick. You polish at say 1200 rpm moderate pressure, then as the defects are removed, lighten up pressure. Then wipe off. If you use too much, you'll need water/alcohol to remove or re-wet.

They do what they are intended for, quick repairs on the line.

I was replying to the question asked above relating to Menzerna polishes

I really love UGE and will buy some as soon as my Z6 runs out. I suspect it will work well with FMJ as their UPP is a product in the same style.

Deanski/Bill D,

Are you guys referring to Merc's new nanopaint? I wonder if swirls are dramatically reduced from normal wear and tear.

I did however suspect that it might be particularly difficult to work with. That seems to be the case.
