Meguiars, Mothers, please sell JUST THE CLAY!

Meguiars sells clay individually... i pick it up all the time. They have both aggressive and mild versions for $20 bucks per 200g / 7oz

all the time? where do you buy just the bar? (without having to pay shipping??)

If you want to be able to buy just a piece of clay look in your yellow pages for your local body shop supply store.

The only reason I still order my clay on-line is because the shop near me only carries the Clay Magic bars. I don't have a problem with Clay Magic. What I have a problem with is them charging me $30+ for it. I got the same size bar of Optimum clay for like $12 on-line. It's really weird because their prices on the Megs Detailer line are very good.

I don't see any problem with buying a clay bar kit because I'll end up using the included QD or small bottle of wax eventually. I'm a big fan of ClayMagic's QD because it smells good and is clean finishing, and Mother's Showtime is some of the best stuff I've used, and their cleaner wax is a great AIO.

wait you do this as a business and you have to buy "the kit" like the rest of us? That must get really expensive for you!

Why spend more? Clay Magic is the company that brought clay to America anyway. Besides, Pep Boys is a lot closer than my Meguiars distributor is.

i get technicians choice clay bars....you can buy their stuff seprately....and it works good with meguiars # 34 finish spray

Hi Guys,

After reading some of the posts here I'm confused by how often I should be using the Clay.

Is Claying something only to be done once a year? (I noted the Sonus Ultra Fine ones can be used more). Should I be using something else as a Surface Prep, such as AIO? I normally use Mothers' Kit. It is quite good but rather expensive to buy the whole thing.

Thanks,

Sam
