Several months ago I had a regular customers black Nisson altima with tons of scratches and washing swirls . Its about 7 years old now and Ive already corrected the paint several times with compound and roatary with no problems but warned my customer I could not keep doing that and she really needed to start taking care about how she washes it .
She was super careful in the begginning but as time went on she stopped hand washing it and went to automatic car washes that thrashed it .
Anyway she decided she would rather keep the car several more years so all she cares about is protecting it with wax and continueing her bad washing habits!
Ive never used Klasse on a rotary but decided to give it a try since I needed to improve the paint without taking any more paint off . Also I was pretty stressed(getting dark soon and Im mobile) for time other wise I would have just used my Flex DA.
The job came out great and I was thrilled to have saved time with the rotary . I even came back the next day to check it in bright miday sunlight to make sure I hadnt missed anything or created and buffing swirls since I had never don ethat before . It looked great in the sun and no buffing swirls and I inspected it pretty carefully.
Fast foward to last week ......and the car is filled with buffing swirls on every inch of the car! I was horrified!!!
Im not sure what I did wrong or maybe you just cant use Klassee on a ratoary, although I read you could in the application directions. But I will never do that again!
Thank God that was the only car Ive ever done that way!
