Is Finish Kare going to provide a website to order?

I stated that sentence wrong. I'm not saying the flat rate shipping was their demise. Just that it probally cut into profit. Unless they had a deal with Fedex, which I doubt, but it's possible.

Have you ever negotiated a deal with a carrier? I haven't recently, but in the past FedEx would do almost anything if you would guarantee them a minimum number of packages a week (in our case they wanted 50) and drop all your other carriers. We couldn't do that, but even so they gave us a discount for a while which dropped an overnight letter from $14 to $10, and that was for us doing...nothing. It was simply an enticement to use them instead of UPS or Airborne.

PS I just looked up the FedEx Ground rates, a 10 lb. box, which would be about right for a gallon of 425, ranges from $6.06 to $10.15, depending on zone (with a $2.05 residential surcharge). Those are the rates if you walk in off the street with one package. I suspect the Flat Rate is a marketing tool that FedEx uses, they go to the business, say, "give us all your traffic, and we'll take every box at $5, and your customers will love it". I'm sure FK1 would do about 50 packages a day, and if you look at the FedEx rate charts, if people were ordering small stuff like a tin of wax, FedEx was probably making out on those small shipments that were close, even if they were losing on the heavy, far ones. Either way, I highly doubt that it was FK1, rather than FedEx that was taking the risk.

Our company has a contract with UPS, why I have no idea. Those guys break so much stuff. They jack us on overnight letters, I think around $21. It keeps moving with their fuel surcharges. We ship glass bottle all over the country, so I think Fedex didn't want the risk with us. But those rates you said are better than UPS is giving us as a company.

If you're a current member can you still get free shipping? Or do you have to be a new forum member?

If a member on Autogeekonline you get free shipping with the code, if it works out better for you, we have the LABOR15 now for 15% off.

i find it great that AG now offers FK products. As with everything the pricing may have gone up a bit but no more than everything else in our world. There customer service assures I will get the product and thats something that was hit or miss as offered on Autopia many times lately.

Really?

I didn't realize that everything else in our world went up by 30%.

Actually, if it wasn't for the current 15% off coupon, it would be more than that (for the gallon of 425).

Meghan, AG has treated me well the few times that I've ordered from you guys, however, as some have already stated, your pricing on some items is double. For instance, I'm thinking of trying 425. I was recently quoted a price that's about 70% percent lower than your posted regular price. That's excessive and that's what is going to drive steer some customers away from buying those products from you guys. We all know that AG has expenses to cover and that you obviously need to mark your items up in order to cover said expenses, but to almost double the price is crazy. And then there's the price of shipping on top of the over inflated product prices. I know that you offer free shipping, but the times I've seen it, it's only when a purchase is made over $99. My wallet is starting to scream and I haven't even added anything to my shopping cart.

Yes, I know that you'll price match, but as far as I know you guys are the only ones carrying FK at the moment. How are you going to price match if you don't have any competition? How is that fair to us? In my opinion (yes, I know the old adage about opinions) you guys need to realign your prices to make it a bit easier for us to buy from you.

I'm not trying to bash you guys. AG is a great company with great products and CS, but your pricing is a bit steep. I've stopped ordering things because this economy is hurting me and now with the new pricing I know it's going to be a while before I'm able to order again.

These are all very good points.

If you dont want to buy from AG then buy it right from FK, no one is stopping anyone from buying from them. JJ himself said yes if you would rather buy from us just give us a call and place a order it is not a problem. So for those that dont lk AG pricing, give FK a call and place your order with them. There is a MSRP out there for the products and that is what they will be sold for unless it is on sale or they feel the need to lower them.

I normally order from AG because I get my products in two days.. If I order from many other companies (FK) included it might take a week or so to receive my stuff.

If price is an issue though.. Just order directly from FK. Not sure of FK's shipping charges, or if their prices have gone up lately.

Ok, now I am really upset!

I placed an order for a gallon of fk425. I paid $37.99 (and used the 15% off coupon).

Just went on their site, and now the price is $29.99!!!

And yes, the 15% off coupon is still good through today!

I would seriously hope that I wouldn't even have to say anything about this to AG, that they would catch it and fix it automatically.

I'm not going to take that chance though.

Hi Al-

I already received a response from Meghan to a PM that I sent her, saying that all will be taken care of! :woot:

I'm glad to see AG respond to the price discussions on the gallon of FK425. I have no evidence to support it, but my guess is that they lowered the price to $29.99 after seeing some of the discussion in this thread.

Anyway, at $29.99 and 15% off, now is a great time to stock up on some FK425, because..........yes, it is that good! :2thumbs:

The President of Finish Kare Products, Inc. And Allbrite Car Care Products.

You guys might want to try the Show Shine QD, good stuff.

Are you saying Finish Kare has a QD other than 425?

No, it's an Allbrite product. There are two versions of it, Show Shine (FP-048) and Clay Lubricant (FP-053).

The Show Shine is a carnauba/polymer mix qd and imo it's better than 425 or 425 with carnauba anyway. The Clay Lube is the same as Show Shine without protection and silicone.
