Is Finish Kare going to provide a website to order?

I appreciate everyones input and opinions, we have priced the Finish Kare to reflect the set pricing, if by chance you find it cheaper we price match, just need a link and you will pay that price. :woohoo:

Yes, some of us understand how business works, but it's kind of a stretch to presume that the flat rate shipping killed FK1. And there is a large price difference (on the 425, anyway), between FK1 and AG, that has nothing to do with shipping.

When did this free shipping for AG forum members come about? Is this different from the $95+ order gets free shipping?

No disrespect was intended, it's just frustrating when something you've been buying goes way up in price--it sometimes seems to be a consequence of popularity, I think when I bought my FK425 it was $25/gal, and the same thing happened to the price of Duragloss wash and AW when they got a lot of buzz and popularity as being very cost effective, the price started to drift up.



Let me be the 3rd or 4th to thank Autogeek for making the FK products readily available again.
 
Thanks AG for adding this to your line. I really don't understand why anyone would specifically want a small company to carry it. I understand the customer service thing, but AG is known for great CS. Anyway, it's convenient for me and it's way cheaper for me to just add a bit more to my AG order than to go out and make another order from someone else. The only place I saw any price INCREASE was on the gallon of 425, other than that the prices looked LOWER. What's all the complaining about???

Some of us have developed personal relationships with some of the smaller guys and want to see them continue to do well.



It's the 'support your small business' thing. It's just as convienent for me to add more stuff to my order with those guys, especially as I've never had a reason to order from Autogeek...or whatever other websites they have.

I'm sorry but I didn't look at any other pricing than the 425, because I've only bought decon and 425 from FK. A $10 price increase is pretty substantial.
 
Ok, I guess the difference is that I support good businesses, regardless of size. Hey, I still like Walmart, insurance companies, and Big Oil... :hide:

I think he meant it about the 32oz size of 425 which was $15 on the old site, and now is $12.99 on AG.

Meghan, AG has treated me well the few times that I've ordered from you guys, however, as some have already stated, your pricing on some items is double. For instance, I'm thinking of trying 425. I was recently quoted a price that's about 70% percent lower than your posted regular price. That's excessive and that's what is going to drive steer some customers away from buying those products from you guys. We all know that AG has expenses to cover and that you obviously need to mark your items up in order to cover said expenses, but to almost double the price is crazy. And then there's the price of shipping on top of the over inflated product prices. I know that you offer free shipping, but the times I've seen it, it's only when a purchase is made over $99. My wallet is starting to scream and I haven't even added anything to my shopping cart.



Yes, I know that you'll price match, but as far as I know you guys are the only ones carrying FK at the moment. How are you going to price match if you don't have any competition? How is that fair to us? In my opinion (yes, I know the old adage about opinions) you guys need to realign your prices to make it a bit easier for us to buy from you.



I'm not trying to bash you guys. AG is a great company with great products and CS, but your pricing is a bit steep. I've stopped ordering things because this economy is hurting me and now with the new pricing I know it's going to be a while before I'm able to order again.

I should also point out that your statement implies that FK1 was actually paying more than that for the shipping, and therefore incurring a loss on each order, which is probably incorrect. That was probably a deal they got from FedEx in exchange for an exclusive contract and a minimum volume.
 
All we can do is speculate on what happened to FK1. I will say this though, I highly doubt it was their flat rate shipping that put them out.



No company is that dumb to have a policy in place for years, and at the same time incurring a loss from said policy so much so as to put them out of business......



Maybe in the end its not AG jacking the price up. It could be that FK seen how big of a seller #425 is and raised the MSRP. Autopia can have that effect on products.
 
The FK1USA site is still up and shows product prices, if you want to do some price comparisons between the old and the "new" items.

If you're a current member can you still get free shipping? Or do you have to be a new forum member?
 
You dont automatically get free shipping. You just get the code. Theres codes for 10% off ,occasionally 15% off, and free shipping. You have to choose which one gives you the most value ATM
 
Autogeek currently has a code for 15%off + 3 free cobra mf towels. You get the 15%off on top of the already sale priced FK products. You can also sign up for the forum and get the free shipping code but they are not stackable, you must choose one or the other. They just added some of the Finish Kare line today 8/28/09

Since I'm not spending 95 dollars. I don't qualify for the free shipping.. 15% is pretty good though. Brings shipping down from 9.95 to 5.75 for two items.

I stated that sentence wrong. I'm not saying the flat rate shipping was their demise. Just that it probally cut into profit. Unless they had a deal with Fedex, which I doubt, but it's possible. AG's price on the 32oz is the same, and less with the discount. Like Dsoto said, maybe Finish Kare raised the price on the gallon size. I was just stating the the price to ship product is unbelieveable these days. It cost a arm and a leg to ship stuff, then UPS/Fedex treat it like a soccer ball in transit.
