I joined Anthony and bought a Steam Cleaner - YAHOO

I almost had enough time to play around with it, but had to leave. This mashine takes 5 cups of water to fill it up. Not mentioned in the manual. I just thought I contribute for a change.

5 cups of water......I thought I read somewhere it had a 60 oz capacity. That would be over 7 cups of water. Hmmm.....I'm getting anxious for mine to get here. I wanna check this unit out!

okay some people are having to much fun, I "swore" I wasn't buying no more detailing supplies cuz the season's up. But I want one damn it.

Just got mine today and mopped the floor with it, I used the large rectangular tool and the tile came out looking great. Didn't do much damage to the grout, but I'll mess around and see if I hit the grout with some oxy-clean + steam if it'll clear them up. This is 1000000000x better than that crappy handheld steamer I bought that cost $50!!!!

5 cups worth came out of it when I pour the water out into a blender. On another note, it is too bad that you are not supposed to use an extention cord with it. :furious: :idea ?

One reason I can think of when instructed not to use an extension cord with an electrical applicance is voltage drop.

The other may be due to the risk of being electricuted esp when there is water involved.

I know! I've been watching this thread, but I've been trying to restrain myself!

Had a friend stop by the local costco here and they do not carry it in the store. Online order only. :(

Keep in mind it's different strokes for different stores and that what one carries the other might not.

My local Costco said that it is online only because it is direct shipped from the manufactures warehouse, hence the cheap price. Mine should be here today!

I duuno dog, I googled on it after making that post last night and other places are still getting 2 and a half bills for the same model.

I'm trying to rationalize it. My B-Day is next month, early present to myself maybe?

Does anyone know where the warehouse is? Or better yet, how long did it take you to receive it once you ordered?

Damn you Autopia, I broke down and ordered mine, $68 and some change with sales tax, shipping/handling, and a non-membership surcharge.

Actually, this might be a good thing cuz if I like it I can get a couple more as Christmas gifts.

Like mom maybe?

I got mine on Friday, and all I can say is this thing could be dangerous. I had a spot on the grout of my kitchen floor that had been there since we bought the house, I figured this machine would have no trouble removing it. Well it had no trouble at all with the spot, the bad thing is I realized the grout is supposed to be white, not grey. So a couple of hours later the kitchen floor grout looks much better. It is kind of like when you buy a really good vacuum after having an old junky one for a long time and you realize how much more dust and dirt you should be removing. You end up wanting to clean everything.
