Does anyone know where the warehouse is? Or better yet, how long did it take you to receive it once you ordered?

Here's the tracking info from my order:

Originated from: Highland Heights, OH

Delivered to: Berwyn, PA

Start: Nov. 11, 6:11 PM

Delivered: Nov. 15, 11:15 AM

And yes, it was drop-shipped right from Saeco.

Same thing happened with my grout. Now I'm bleaching the shower pan to match the nice clean grout!

Also, I used my 4 or 5 times with an extension cord. Worked fine.

I am somewhat surprised that by the number of folks that have claimed to purchase this unit, that beyond cleaning grout, floors, and an air vent, no one has tried cleaning rims, engine bay, wheel wells, etc.

Mine comes tomorrow, however unless I'm doing an Expedition this weekend, I dont have any dirty engine bay's to try it on. I will however try it on rims and wheel wells and post pics...

I just purchased the steamer as well, the last thing i needed was more detailing supplies. :hairpull

I won't be sorry when I have another beater to detail.

Mine is a Christmas present so I won't be able to try it out until Dec. 25th :(

I'll probably open it first and then start cleaning the entire house with it :p

Well when mine gets here I intend to do the front door jambs my A4. Can never seem to get those spots clean.

Might try cleaning my Summer wheels as well.

But I have been stuggling with keeping the grout in the master bath shower white.

When you guys clean grout, do you just blast the steam onto it and for a few seconds or however long it takes? Or do you use chemicals along with it?

By the way, I've noticed that if I let it sit for awhile while it's on, the pressure of the steam that comes out when I use it is a lot higher than after I've used it extensively for 15-20 minutes. How long can we leave it sitting idle?

I was using the small circle brush tip with no cleaner.

The pressure will build up to a certain point if you let it sit for a while, I don't think it will get beyond the 50psi it is specified at though.

Once I use it for 5-10 minutes I let it sit just to let the steam get back up to the higher pressure.

Aren't you guys impressed with the extremely large packaging it came in? I saw it sitting there and was like *** how big is this steam cleaner?!?!? It ends up being like 18 inches tall and a foot wide.....go figure.

I pulled into my driveway and saw the box sitting on my porch and wondered what I had gotten myself into.

I HAVE used it on my wheels, worked well. Used it on my door jambs, footwells, dash and it worked great on all. I did not use it around electronics, as in the engine since I just cleaned it a few weeks ago and didn't want to get the pressurized vapor into electronic parts. Used it in wheel wells with mixed reviews. Worked good on tires, black crap just fell off.

Got mine yesterday! Let the cleaning begin. I too was impressed with the packaging. Very well protected. Very well make little unit, I am tempted to order more while I still can.

I just used my steamer for the first time this morning! This thing is amazing. Watch out! Steam at 50 PSI. I tried steaming some shirts and alittle cleaning. This is a pro quality unit. Not some piece of junk from a home center. My only complaints are that refills are not easy and no way to store accessories. I wraped the included towel around the triangle attatchment for the cloths steaming. It worked great. I also tried the small round brush. Here are some pics.

tdekany: I don't think it will matter that much as long as you follow the same guidelines for using an extension cord w/any electrical applicance. With some of those being

- The minimum gauage (thickness) of the extension cord cannot be more than the gauage of the power cord attached to the appliance (the higher the gauge number the thinner the wire is)

- To minimize the voltage dropping over a distance (and thereby increasing the Amp's) use a extension cord of a lower gauge than what the power cord. (If the power cord is 16 gauge and you want to go 25 feet from the power source you may need to use a 12 gauge extension cord)

- If working outdoors use an extension cord rated for outdoor use.

There are other considerations but what's important to remember here is that these things have a motor in them to make pressure. As such they usually have a higher start-up draw in Watts then when running. Like when using an air compressor or Electric Pressure washer.

This can sometimes be a probelm cuz it will either cause circuit breakers to trip or you'll be underpowering the motor.
