hey come on man! hehe, I wasn't saying anything against u. Hey I am taking your route on the ML, stripping all the klasse and going back to plain ol carnuba. Thinking about blitz. I put a layer of #26 on top of klasse on the IS300 and it looks amazing. Now back to the sample, what do u want me to send to u. How bout some meguiars cleaner

Most of the time in real life we don't do side by side testing.



I mean when you switch to a different hair gel do you do it on half you head? what about every other thing you use, tooth paste, mouth wash, what about things you taste.



when you first tried out Zaino did you put it on half your car versus what you used before for comparison. if not did you switch to zaino without scientific proof?



it is not in any way useless to test anything and everything the way you know how, which is by using it. Check the review section and see how many side by sides there are on there, that doesn't make them all nil.



I don't know about you guys but after spending more time with my car that most people (not here) I know exactly what it does and if anything changes on it I will notice real quickly. I wanted to make sure that I would apply Z correctly so that I could give it a fair chance. Sal e-mailed me so, it's all good.

I think that's why peple throw in the words "IMO" "SUBJECTIVE"

Carguy & Intel (not Zaino) did half/half comparison. Yah but not the whole car.

I totally agree, but wouldn't hurt to do half/half comparison, and IMO your test will be more valid this way.

Are you sure you want to go with ALL carnauba on an ML? That's got to be a bear to detail...and if you're gonna go with a wax, you'll probably get tired of re-coating all the time. Just something to consider...
 
Actually I may go with a glaze like IHG or the Eagle one wet polish. I used to use the eagle one wet polish and it did an awesome job at filling swirls and stuff. Didn't last long because i never used to wax after using it, stupid me. Now I know better and I think I might use Eagle one again...



This weekend I will strip the ML using AIO or the meguiars cleaner to remove the hazing. I will then see how well sealants protect against swirls. I really hope it protected me :( . I know u said when u removed klasse on the BMW there was much less swirling. Also u said AIO worked good at removing swirls, please elaborate how u did this tony, PM me or AIM me.

seriously though, I test everything I own and compare it. Course consumer products is the field I would like to gravitate towards in my career. But yeah, everyone at my work hates it when I'm on the prowl. It took me 4 months to buy the Passat, a year to buy a computer, months to buy a digital camera. I even bought a coffee maker researched on the net. So how is car wax any different. We usually don't have the ability to be scientific. We can only use ourselves as judges. We can ask around but ultimately we have to make our own decisions, and that DOES include hair gel (you don't want to know how many types I've tried). (I do have a store test though rub a little between your fingers at the store and some get gooey, some get fibery, some do nothing, and some dry out your fingers) but I've again, I've never done a side by side comparson to see if at the end of the day, which one lasted the longest, cause I don't care to (and you can't make me! :p )
