How "I" wash cars.......

My overall consensus from TrueDetailer's post was, in a nutshell, if you're using a power washer it defies the purpose of a "rinseless wash"

However, I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth :nervous:

To many forum tought detailers that hop on bandwagons.

"tought" :confused:

In answer to you asking why combine a pressure sprayer with a rinseless wash, Justin has to deal with vehicles regularly driven on dirt and gravel roads, so that is why he'd have to use a pressure sprayer on wheels and wheel wells. Those of us primarily in urban areas usually don't have to worry about that.

Since I started my detailing business back in late 1992 (full time since April 1994), I have washed about 9000-10,000 cars using rinseless washes (QEW until ONR came out a early last year) and I greatly prefer it to conventional washing. I can get the cars just as clean in about 2/3rds the time of a conventional wash. In addition, at office complexes, there is no danger of getting anyone else's car wet on windy days. No problems the clean water act either.

That doesn't mean rinseless washing is for everyone but it is a very professional way to wash cars. It isn't just for the enthusiast detail and it isn't 'dry washing'.

Like Scott said, I have a lot of vehicles that simply smothered in mud and debris. I guess it's still a rinseless wash since I'm not rinsing during the final wash. More of a pre-rinse to knock the clumps off.

I start up my pressure washer a couple of times a week. When there is a 2" of mud in the wells and on the body it's certainly time. Once I've knocked the mud off then I do the rinseless wash as usual. If I could put my pressure washer away for good I would. From a commercial level the rinseless washing seems to be one of those things you have to use to appreciate.
