You sure can spend the other guy's money, pretty easy. Are you a politician? :idea
No, but I imagine I would be a pretty good one wouldn't I?

With all that taxpayer money, imagine the Jeep I would have :dnaughty :rofl

2009 Silverado Z71 4x4 - LTZ (decked out). Big V-8. Bright red. What do you think?
you got the red right (victory red is a KILLER color. I assume that's what the red is still called...)
But you forgot to make that V8 a nice, torquey Duramax Diesel :rockon They're SUPER quiet/reliable and can easily get over 20 MPG with a couple minor mods.
Mr Clean is right, I'd be great at spending other people's money

I don't like the look of the F150's.
I don't want a Dodge - period.
I don't want a Nissan.
The only things I can even remotely come up with are the Silverado, another Tacoma, a Tundra. As a very long shot I thought about looking at the FJ Cruiser, but I don;t know if I would like them or not.
I did not know it could be so hard to find a vehicle.
I am familiar with the Tacomas, I like Toyota resale, I have wrecked two Tacos that I walked away from. Con of the Tacoma is the V6 - it would be nice to have a V8 to tow my boat. That's what has me looking to the Tundra or Silverado. I wish ford had kept the styling more in line with the previous gen F150's, because I would have considered one of those as well.
Good choice on not wanting a Dodge- period :rockon new ones are ugly as SIN anyway...
Nissan is a plastic box...
I heard rumor that the 09 or 2010 Tacomas would have the 4.7 V8 as an option. I'm too lazy to check and see if they will, but if so, you get the best of both worlds... Your trusty Taco and a V8

My neighbor has the identical Tacoma you had, he says it tows his 19.5' Supra far superior to his old '94 F250 with a big block. How big of a boat do you have?
But I'm a Chevy guy... So I say Chevy

The newer trucks (07+) are no longer torsion bar suspension (CRAP!) and have been changed over to an independent/coilover set-up like the 'Yota's. MUCH better ride and handling. And way less of a PITA to lift, if you ever go that route... And the Chevy's look weird without any lift... a leveling kit or a 3.5-4" lift makes 'em look great
